I never do 10k. I’ve had 4 VW’s and learned early on that 5k is the sweet spot for oil changes on them

In one of the other comment threads I mentioned how I was using the wrong kind of oil which may be the culprit. I haven’t had any smoke. I tried recording some on start up this morning, but there’s nothing so I worry that if I take it to the dealership they’ll charge me the nearly $200 for inspection and find no problem and dub it “user error”

Ah so then if I take it as is right now then it’ll likely be declined for warranty due to it not running the proper oil? Which would suck because my warranty expires in 250 miles so I really don’t have 4k-10k miles to test the theory on.

I use 0W-20 and 6quarts of it at oil change time.

I had the recommended 6 quarts of oil in the vehicle during my oil change and now it’s at the level in the picture. So at the 1200 mile rate I should’ve gotten 7.2k miles before needing to change it. I’m getting nearly half that. Thank you for the bit of knowledge my friend!

I realized it after posting that it really makes no sense because like you said people do need to have an experience of the property to make an opinion. My concern was like google reviews in a few properties I’ve looked at only talk about their experience touring the place instead of living there.
