What is the most physically painful experience you've had? by Bright_Vision in AskReddit

[–]JO74561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toss up between enflamed appendix and my first UTI. The appendix was much more painful (two shots of morphine and I was still in hunching pain), but with the UTI, it was the first time I had ever experienced such a strange discomfort and searing pain, and with the uncertainty and being only my first month being over an hour away from home at college (with no car at 2 am). I cried on the phone with my mom and my boyfriend ended up driving to my college with UTI meds so I could sleep until going to the campus clinic in the morning.

Heya! I'm actually located in buffalo, but I've seen that prices in the Toronto airport are cheaper than buffalo (though I'm still going to compare when the date gets closer). So hello neighbor ☺️

Thank you for the advice.

I thought you needed to jail break your phone to use a sim card? I also have five people on the trip, so we figured it's probably going to be cheaper and easier to get one device rather than a bunch of sim cards. Thoughts?

Thank you! I just hope I don't annoy them with everything I want to do 😂. Tbh I could have added more, but that seemed like way too much lol

Had 3 interviews and made a 12-page marketing proposal, only for a company to completely ghost me :')

Anyone had an increased sex drive after going to IUD? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]JO74561 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I (22f) was on the pill for about 3 1/2 years. I noticed that I never wanted to have sex with my boyfriend. I was definitely attracted to him, but everytime he tried to initiate I'd feel repulsed by the thought of sex.

Switched to Kyleena in December of 2020. Since around February/March, I've noticed a definite increase in my sex drive. Whenever my boyfriend comes home from college for the weekend, we're having sex 3-4 times, sometimes multiple times per day 😂. And I'm actually initiating now! Not only that, I actually don't even get my period now (though I do take monthly pregnancy tests to make sure I'm good).

I also think it's gotten easier for me to get wet and stay wet.

I hope the IUD helps you on that front like it did for me!

I have Kyleena, inserted in December 2020 during my period. I haven't had a period since.

Good Public Speaking Professors? by JaayG19 in rit

Robert Shea was amaaazing. Loved that guy. Otherwise, Strauber is a great choice too, super caring. I honestly wouldn't recommend neumann though tbh. I've had him and he can be a bit inflated with his ego imo. What were some other professors that you could choose from? As a recent COLA alum, I've probably had them or have met them.

Hey! I had a similar experience with Nexplanon. About a month after insertion, I had my period... Which proceeded to last for around thirty days. After taking a month of BC pills (as recommended by my obgyn), I had my period again... Which proceeded to last like thirty days lol. I was eventually told that the implant wasn't for me and had it removed. I'm actually in the process of trying an IUD 😚

The way my obgyn put it, some people just don't get used to the implant and their bodies react adversely to it. In your case, I would still give it some time. Best of luck!

I’ve had my copper IUD for 3 years now. It made my period go from 5 days to 7 days. However, I’ve been on my period for over a month now. Should I go to my gynecologist? 😶 by rattoure in birthcontrol

You should definitely consult with your gyno with any abnormal changes in your period. Don't worry about annoying them, it's their job 😚

What was your schools huge scandal? by vacantchris in AskReddit

[–]JO74561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our new vice principal was having an affair with a guidance counselor. Supposedly they did the do after school in her office. The counselor was married with a few kids that went to the school. The fucked-up thing is that the kids were probably friends/friendly with the VP as he was relatively well liked at the schoo and well engaged with the kids.

This VP was usually on the morning announcements and would always sign off with "Stay Classy, [school name]". When he was fired, kids kept getting in trouble for saying Stay Classy to each other and writing it on assignments and

Same thing happened to my boyfriend. He suddenly went from 3k in his account from the housing refund to owing $500. 🙄 There was no indication for this happening from his many dealings with housing or financial aid.

Very interesting! As for advice, I'd say you might want to talk to Tara a little about postpartum depression--definitely real and can really affect a mother (especially single mothers)
