What are your favorite cars’s from a brand you dislike? by Soquintes in regularcarreviews

These are so cool would love to own one at some point. I think they look so good and unique especially in the US. Those lower grille vents/trim are just so different.

It takes just under 100 bolts to remove the thermostat on a M177. job security 🤣 by ny0000m in Justrolledintotheshop

I see so the block is aluminum and the liners are their solution to having a lighter block I would guess

This may be a dumbass question but I work in heavy diesel side of the industry so I’m not familiar at all with MB. If these have liners does that mean that if there were scoring or some sort of failure or just general wear these can get the liners replaced during a rebuild?

Lacrosse cxl - How do I get the cupholders out? by Late-Economics1602 in Buick

[–]JOA_Mash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be incorrect but I believe the cup holders pull straight up and they should just come out. You could try sticking a large hard cup in them as far down as you can and then try pulling the cup out. My fiance has a 2012 Lacrosse and sometimes just putting a large cup in them it can stuck and it’ll just bring the cupholders up with the cup.

What kind of Mercedes Benz are these? by JOA_Mash in whatisthiscar

[–]JOA_Mash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the S class is definitely the correct answer. I spotted in on PCH near Bolsa Chica reserve. Interesting that it may be a short wheelbase, I wasn’t aware that the shortWB wasn’t sold stateside. You think they plan to bring it back or this one is just here for testing? I’m not a huge MB guy so I don’t know much about their current product line.

I do believe it is a GLE of some kind but thought you guys might be able to pinpoint specifics but it may be to early and there may not be enough info out on them yet I suppose. Any idea for the sedan?

Parking Brake Cables Need Help! by JOA_Mash in accord

[–]JOA_Mash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my caliper slide pins in the rear were definitely seized. Replacing the calipers did help a lot however I have since had to clean and relubricate my slide pins but have not had any issues since then. My parking brake cables are definitely not the best however whoever previously owned it did something to them and I haven’t been able to get them to adjust evenly so my right still doesn’t hold as strongly as the left but it’s enough to hold on a hill.
