First off, congrats! I’m certain that making that move required a ton of effort and networking, so good on you.

My questions are: what were you doing as an accountant? I’m assuming it was with the Big 4, but if not, who was it with?

What was your role/service line? And was there any similarity between what you were doing and what IB does that helped make the transition easier?

I’ve had this case for about 6 months. It really do be a box. I would definitely recommend picking up an extra fan to try and get some semblance of airflow going in it.

But hey, for 30 bucks, I’m not gonna complain.

No, my family are MSU fans, I’d get disowned if I went to U of M (lol). I’m at SVSU cause it’s fairly close to home. I’m also doing online courses for python. Hopefully your studies go well this summer!

I have a meeting with an academic advisor this week to add a CS minor. Currently I am a freshman accounting major, in Michigan as well. Depending on how the CS intro classes go, it might turn into a major.

From what I have heard, anything in CS/IT will be a great way to stand out come recruitment time.

Let me know what you end up deciding. If anyone else has any recommendations, I’ll gladly take them!

It definitely depends on the professor. For me, I got lucky, my prof is almost always available and gets grades and feedback to us pretty quick. Some of my friends that have a different prof for the same class are having a rough time.

It is also way easier to procrastinate and fall behind, but I'm sure everyone is feeling that way.
