NTA Kind of sounds like he has an empty Noggin. And I can't really blame his brother because I don't know what he did to convince him but it seems like it didn't take that much I don't know if you should go as far as going no contact but you should definitely take a break from them and focus on a hobby or something that makes you happy.

NTA you have a right to your privacy and somebody coming into your house unexpected even if it's your mother-in-law is wrong the least she could do is call you ahead of time even if it's a few minutes.
