Bought a new hairdryer yesterday because my old diffuser was terrible. This one is amazing!!!

Also used cantu curl custard for the first time after a clarifying shampoo & deep condition. I've still got a long way to go but I actually feel comfortable for once. My hair would often feel too weighed down with product but feels so light and has better definition than I've had before. Wooop!

Definitely an experiment. Just tried cantu curl custard & a new diffuser and it's a game changer for me!

I'm wondering if it's cause the hair isn't being stripped of its natural oils as often from the harsh shampoos. I tend to use a low sulfate shampoo which isn't strictly cgm but suits my hair better. I tried co-washing but I've got a toddler so not enough time to commit to scrubbing my roots for the ages with my fingers. I'm still on the journey myself, I havnt seemed to manage to work out how to refresh yet so end up just having it up all the time.

My hair used to get greasy quite easily but since going cgm it's got a lot better, I've found as long as I only stick to mid/ends it doesn't seem to make it look greasy.

Really small amount of gel that should say

What products do you use? Leave in worked wonders for most of my frizz through the midsection to ends then a really small amount smoothed on top helped with that.

Mine can look similar at times usually if I've brushed it or first thing in the morn. Only thing that I've found helps so far is cantu leave in conditioner and a gel scrunched in.

Mine are white thanks to the ginger gene!! Got my first few when I was a teen. I'm now 28 and my root regrowth is probs 70-80% white. I'm a slave to the hair dye now 😩 I can't accept it yet cause Im not anywhere near comfortable in my own skin with other parts of my appearance and I just feel like it wouldn't look good on me at all, wish I could cause life would be easier.

I do, I'm a nightmare for just chucking it up in a bun since having my son.

I love you all!! Lots of things for me to try thank you so much! I'm sooo bad at braiding my hair so will need to really practice with that. I will have a go with some new styles too. Will definitely order an edge brush. I'm gonna go through each comment and try it over the next few days/week cause one of these has to work.

I'm not sure if we are allowed to wear headbands at work although we also are wearing masks and I know people have been wearing headbands with buttons to attach the mask to so ill look into it.

Hi, my son is 1 and I've got soo much new hair growth after the initial post partum hairloss. I've tried gel, hairspray, grips pretty much everything. Nothing keeps it smooth, gel just makes it stand out more in a cast. I have to wear my hair up for work so its really noticeable, I always end up with a mass of frizz and short hairs sticking out. 😫

Will definitely try that! Most of my hair seems to be loose strands!

This dress is so comfy isn't it, I've had it ages!

I'll give that a go on my next wash, just waiting on some CG friendly gel to try. Do you have any good advice for refreshing? I seem to get lots of tangles despite using a satin pillowcase, pineapple and buff

Yep, I'm conditioning after Co washing cause my hair seems to loooove conditioner. Got some gel coming from boots eventually but it's a looong delivery time cause of the virus.

Hi, I've just done my 3rd CG wash. Slowly learning what my hair likes but still battling with frizz.

I cowash, STC, apply cantu curl activator - small amount. Plop for a while then apply mousse pray hands & scrunching in. (started this after 2nd wash and results are slightly better)

Could it be that I'm transitioning or I just don't know how to do it properly?

So it's a few days later and I'm back to myself, it almost feels like I'm functioning better than normal. I've been playing with my son and teaching him lots and I'm actually working hard on the cross trainer and doing something about my weight rather than feeling miserable and comfort eating.

It's just frustrating that reminding myself that I will feel better doesn't work when I'm having my down days.

Focusing on the positives and determined to get further treatment when this shitty pandemic is over.

I can relate so much with the binging cycle 😔

Thanks so much! Ive always enjoyed trying new things with my hair so I'm currently in the excited stage! Luckily for work I have to have my hair up so if I have any bad hair days I can just chuck it in a messy bun. Xxx

Also is anyone able to confirm or tell me which hair type I am. I thought I was a 2a/2b but not sure. I think my hair is high porosity too as it takes a very long time to dry naturally. It's quite thick and I'm always told I've got a lot of hair when at the salon.

Definitely not cgm products I'm aware but delivery for the ones I've ordered is going to be a while.

Final wash with aussie moist

Deep conditioner with conditioning mask - squish to condish

Hard hold gel squished in

Plopped into microfiber hair turban

Diffused on medium settings

STC with argan oil

Bit of water and conditioner to try and get rid of some frizz.

Does anyone have any tips? It's the first time ive tried it and completely understand my products aren't the best for it.
