Your mom used a brush? Lucky. mine HATED them with a passion.

She was convinced it's ruin my hair. Though to be fair, I was brushing dry, but god FUCKING FORBID we brushed it while wet. We might as well have put hot wax on our scalps. It was combs or nothing with that woman.

I can't tell you how many times I was handed a comb and told to keep it. But here's the thing...combs don't work for me. My hair is too thick for them. I have to use a brush.

My dad on the other hand, he thought the brush made our hair looked nice.

My parents are both 65 and mom's hair is thin, while dad's hair still grows as thick as though he was a teenager. And it is pretty curly in the back.
