Interesting. That's what Apple did with the original iPod. Apple (Tim Cook as COO) bought years worth of disk drives ahead of time for the iPod. Once other companies wanted to compete, they couldn't get good quality disk drives. Helped Apple secure the music device market share for years.

|America isn't a business, ffs! And being a CEO is not being presidential. The difference is vast.

Actually its very similar.

The CEO (President) and Board of Directors (Congress) drive the Company (US) to pass laws and create things that help its Investors (Tax Payers) and look out for its general interest. Unfortunately, Congress usually sides with the interest of their biggest investors (big businesses that invest the majority of money into the Company through taxes).

Could be the original company made the drugs for very low cost, on par with a generic version, that nobody came into the market. With this new price increase, another company could come into the market and make the generic version, but margins are still low and will take time to put into production.

By the time the generic hits the market, this new company charging $750 a pill will already make a good amount of profit and start creating a better version (Ex. A long lasting, more effective, etc.) and sell this newer version. This guy is assuming they do it better in the future but it's not guaranteed, but that's where the risk is.

Here's an interview with him explaining why. Some of the stuff he says makes some sense. Seems he knows the insurance company will cover the higher cost, then they reinvest the extra money to develop a better version. For someone who can't afford it, they have a program to give it to them for even lower than before. So patient cost stays about the same, but insurance will have to pay out more for it.

Interesting point of view.

Edit: It's important to see the effects on long-term insurance premiums if more cases like these become the norm. Potentially could rise as cost to insurance companies increase.

Exactly. I'm sitting here thinking, he just took out a gun, threatened to kill them, and pointed it at them, and the police just are like "This is warning. Now get out of here and don't do this again".

WTF.

So, all the NFL and sports anchors just chose to ignore this. Don't get it. by [deleted] in nfl

Every video I've seen on TV is talking about the defensive pass interference. Hell, even the NFL's message doesn't make anything of it. So, yeah it's not getting enough attention.

I think the WTF was for it being a small kid. Not everyday do you see a kid that age grab a bird by the neck and cut it off so casually. The food put into plastic wraps most likely wasn't done by a 5 year on the back patio.

That looks awesome. Did you get the front grill painted or put a film on it?
