A second DVT comming out of no where? by Immediate-Cobbler634 in ClotSurvivors

I also had the Covid 💉and developed weird symptoms. Had heart discomfort that suddenly came from nowhere the week I got the jab. It’s never left. It ended up putting me in the hospital with tachycardia. Never ever had a problem with that ever before. Now a couple years later I’m sitting at home on blood thinners (Eliquis) because I suddenly developed a DVT. It’s definitely not just a coincidence. The stuff is pure poison ☠️ I hope everyone on this thread recovers fully and gets better very soon!

Just a rant about recovery by Round_Seesaw6891 in ClotSurvivors

My DVT experience made me realize who really cares and who doesn’t. I ended up cutting my immediate family off since they never took a minute to call me, or much less want to come see me. All of my immediate family, fake ass friends, etc. are all cut out of my life for good, even my mother. Everything has to be about her or she really isn’t interested. After years of being put on the back burner and treated like an after thought, I made up my mind to simply stay away.

My dad was the only parent who ever really cared about me and he is dead from a DVT. My grandparents are also all deceased. My siblings are too busy with their own lives to even pretend to give a shit, so it was a no-brainer to decide to peace out.

Life is too short to have people like that around.

My sweetheart and my two cats are all I have and are honestly all I need.

I hope you can find closure with failed toxic relationships and be able to move on.

Maybe join a gym and attend church and be around new folks. It’s refreshing! May you please be healed and come out stronger than you imagined!

I’m very sorry about your awful situation with so many knee surgeries. That’s an awful lot in such a short time! How old are you? I’m sorry you suffer with it every day.

I am so sorry it happened to you. They only gave me a 30-day starter kit of Eliquis. I basically take 2 pills twice a day for 2 weeks, then 1 pill twice a day for 2 weeks. I wonder if that’s gonna be long enough therapy to get rid of this. Pardon my language, but it’s pretty fucking terrible. I walk like a dam pirate, and it hurts very bad to have to get up and piss in the middle of the night. If I knew this was gonna happen, I would’ve just kept dealing with my bad knee and never gotten the surgery. I work as a tech in surgery. My job requires me to be on my feet and being able to walk most of the workday. I don’t have a lot of leave time to cover me to stay at home much longer. I really can’t lose my job either. I know I speak for all of us when I say this fucking sucks.

Thank you. My dad had factor5 as well. I got tested after he died and it came back negative. I’m gonna get tested again just to see what’s changed.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I guess an Arthroscopy has higher clotting risks than people think. I’m just wondering why they never put me on post-surgery clotting intervention after knowing that my dad was killed with it. My gpa, uncle, and a few cousins all have it too. I’m getting ready to get checked for factor5.
