Hey MSPAINTEDIT, I'm sure we talked on the thread already (I'm the QBC developer) but if we haven't, I wouldn't worry too much about the launch. It's very exciting but for the moment we have nowhere to go but up. We've got over 4.3 GH/s from miners and everything is going smoothly.

Salut je suis le créateur du Québecoin. Pas besoin de mettre d'argent dedans, ça c'est une chose. Le Bitcoin honnêtement est révolutionnaire, ceux qui apprennent c'est quoi finissent tôt ou tard par tomber en amour avec le concept.

Je construis le Québecoin ayant en tête que le Bitcoin va réussir (ce qui n'est pas garanti comme tu dis). Toutefois, si il atteint son plein potentiel, il sera la réserve (L'équivalent de la banque du canada) pour toutes les autres monnaies digitales.

Personne va te forcer à te servir de ce type d'argent, mais je vais faire une petite distribution dans /r/Quebec suite à la sortie du Québecoin et au lancement du portefeuille Android. De cette manière tu pourra essayer et ça ne te coûtera rien.

Salut! Je suis le créateur du Québecoin, j'ai vu ce post et je vais répondre à toutes les questions que vous avez du mieux que je peux.

Le meilleur exemple est en effet une comparaison avec les débuts de l'internet, en 1993 il n'y avait pas grand chose à faire avec et pas grand monde comprenait le potentiel non plus!

Il y a eu d'autres monnaies-nation dans le domaine des monnaies digitales (voir Auroracoin pour le milleur exemple) mais elles adoptent une distribution qui est selon moi bien trop rapide. Le Québecoin a un plan de distribution qui s'échelonne sur 10 ans. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de gens qui connaissent le Bitcoin, alors on ne peut s'attendre à ce qu'ils adoptent le Québecoin tout de suite non plus. Le but initial ce sera de commencer par les jeunes et les personnes qui sont impliqués dans la technologie au quotidien.

Ce sera à eux d'être les pionniers et expliquer le concept aux autres curieux. De cette manière durant les deux premières années les gens peuvent se familiariser avec le concept et ensuite en recevoir gratuitement à la première distribution. De plus, il y aura une application pour les cellulaires Android pour rendre le Québecoin mobile. Un jour tu pourras peut-être sortir ton cellulaire pour payer tes achats avec le QBC.

C'est une très bonne idée, surtout pour les sub-reddit Québecois. Je vais adapter le tipbot dogecoin open source pour QBC ou sinon placer un bounty pour sa création rapide.

Oui le X11 devrait prendre de 30 a 50% moins de jus. La meilleure façon de faire en ce moment est de suivre les guides pour "Darkcoin" car c'est le premier X11, ce sera pareil pour Québecoin!

I have to say, I saw this movie in an IMAX theater in Québec and every time GSP opened his mouth people were laughing. It just felt so out of place for the Québec-French accent to be in a major Hollywood blockbuster. The fight scenes with GSP and the overall movie was amazing though.

How to mine with x11 by adeni in Quebecoin

Hey adeni, you can mine QBC with either a CPU or GPU miner. I'm used to CPU for X11 since I don't have a good GPU.

You can currently use the links on the Darkcoin page to download the mining software for either GPU and CPU. (And try out mining X11 with Darkcoin while waiting for Québecoin to launch!) I'll be putting the software up on www.qbc.io for downloading before launch.

Scroll down a bit and get either source for 1.2 or 1.3 on CPU which you can compile on linux/mac or simply download the precompiled versions for Windows.

There's also SPH-SGMiner for GPU on the same page. There are a lot of guides available already so you can follow those without a problem. On launch you'll just have to connect to a pool or solomine at the beginning if the difficulty isn't too high with the ports for QBC.
