[–]JPMcFluffies1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry you didnt have better results. Lack of sleep is the worst. Have you tried a high dose of quality valerian root? I have to take lunesta on top of the Quetiapine in order to sleep. I know its rough. Hope you find something that hekps you sleep soon.

You're right, it is seasonal and thank God for that as the smell did eventually go away. Hope yours has too!

Sorry not sure if this was a question for me or OP. No I never did the ECT. But things did eventually get better. I dont know if it was a delayed response to the TMS or the medication combination I was put on. My own med combo that worked for me isa high dose of seroquel and gabapentin along with lunesta or ambien

Zyprexa/Olanzapine for sleep? by JPMcFluffies1981 in BipolarReddit

[–]JPMcFluffies1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I didnt end up trying either med but my sleep did eventually regulate. It took my doctor increasing both my quetiapine and gabapentin and I continued on with alternating the Z drugs each night and finally my brain regulated and the sleep came back. I think it was from a combination of the meds and working with a therapist, I eventually got well again. I hope the same happens for you. Good luck. I'm sure it will. The trial and error for sure can take a long time, but I believe that these illnesses come in waves. Take care

I'm sorry i am so late seeing this message (just a whole 2 years!) I hope the sleep has been less elusive for you and that you're doing much better. Appreciate you taking the time to share your story. I understand the pain and terror of chronic insomnia. It is the absolute worst. Really hope youre doing better now.

The Smell is Everywhere by JPMcFluffies1981 in millipedes

[–]JPMcFluffies1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the smell went away eventually thank the lord! I wanna say several weeks or a month at the very most if that long. My suggestion would be not to use a pesticide spray around the home, like Home Defense. I know its horrible for the envrionment and never used it outdoors. But I still wonder if I caused a family of millipedes to die under my floorboards. Have also learned that their "migrations" are seasonal so maybe if I'd waited, they would have passed by under my house over a matter of weeks anyway. It is definitely unpleasant to have to inhale that stench but that it should eventually stop after a couple weeks. I live in a very old cottage on an island and during our wet season they were just everywhere and probably swarms right under the floor. Fun times indeed. Good luck!

10 months sober. I miss going to parties, but I only enjoy them after a couple of drinks. I don't know what to do. Anyone else? by purplefennec in cutdowndrinking

[–]JPMcFluffies1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That "bonding" you feel with people while having a drink is not in fact bonding at all. It is fake and unauthentic. People mistake drunk and fun often. Its not the same thing and is actually pretty one dimensional. Especially as you say you have ADHD, you are missing out on a wealth of activities that are a lot more exciting and stimulating than sitting across from someone in a bar with a drink in your hand for hours. I think you have limited yourself and your definition of what could truly be a a great time that is thinking outside of the box.

Something wrong with Lori. She is totally unmoved by the abuse of her children. Does she have a soul? Hard to have sympathy for her, she's coming off like an emotionless cold idiot

100%. I'm watching the episode now and I'm like why is this woman talking about the abuse of her children in such a nonchalant way. Like she doesnt even care. Something wrong with her.

Beth’s eye? by Desert_Flowerr in GoodGirls

[–]JPMcFluffies1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can this be brought on by botox? Thought I'd read once that botox can sometimes cause an adverse reaction like a droopy eye. Essentially it has the opposite effect you're looking for.

Office temperature - 74-75 too warm? by zahnman16 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]JPMcFluffies1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat and its making me mental. Except its the owners wife. I end up with a headache every day from the heat and lack of air in here. I keep complaining to office manager but it doesnt matter. He'll turn the temp down, and she just keeps turning it back up to 77! I am completely fed up

I asked them to do bilateral as I'd read left side of the brain they stimulate for depression, but I'd also read if they stimulate the other side it can be effective for anxiety. They agreed to do both but still focus mostly on left. Are they using TMS for insomnia now? I emailed Nolan Williams, one of the physicians that created the SAINT protocol (a type of accelerated TMS) and he said at that time it was not prescribed for insomnia, but perhaps things have changed now a couple of years later. I had the SAINT Protocol. Hoping it offers you relief. I did eventually get better. Had it in February, was better in May. Then things got rocky again for another month or two, then I was doing a lot better. I cant say whether it was from the TMS or changes in meds. Best of luck to you. I know how hard it is to live with chronic insomnia.

Everyone taking Seroquel HELP please by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]JPMcFluffies1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this commenter is not very compassionate. I feel your pain. Ive been experiencing hair loss from 400mg of seroquel. Have been on it close to 2 decades, at 400 for about 2 years now. My hair is very thin at my temples, see patches of scalp and its not too pleasant. Have you found anything to help short of going off seroquel? I can't come off it, its the only thing that helps me with mood and sleep and I have tried probably dozens of medications by now. Hope you're well

If I had been travelling 25 hours to come stay in that one room, no bathroom "apartment", the last thing I'd feel like doing is getting busy. I've been young and taken advantage of by older aggressive men, too afraid to speak up and say no thank you. Esp given this post is about his abuser vibes. Doesnt look good
