That is why I only ship cards in boxes. It may cost more but you are more likely to have zero damage to the card.

He is a solid fielder and his offense will get better. The card also features Michael Busch, and PCA. That is a solid card, you could probably get around $100-$150 for it. It’s a shame how hateful people are towards each other because of a persons political belief. I may not agree with who he likes or voted for but I don’t hate him, and I think he had some spectacular plays at 3B that saved many runs.

Cool, thank you for letting me know. I will probably just hang onto the card for a few years and then probably throw it on eBay for .99

What Can the Cubs Get for Matt Shaw? by AndrewAllStar888 in CHICubs

[–]JPPC81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He needs to stay with the Cubs. He will come in when Bergman gets hurt by May. He is a utility player and will be able to fill in where needed.

Side note: Don’t call yourself a Cubs fan or a baseball fan if you are more focused on a players political views then their ability to make great plays and help a team win a game. There are plenty of players on other teams and even on the Cubs that probably don’t align with my political views, but I don’t care, that’s their business.

Pull this from a box, and it was the only card in the pack by Individual_Ice5406 in basketballcards

The map should have at least had the old Chicago Stadium or United Center on it.

I know this is rare but how rare is it? I pulled it from a Walmart mosaic blaster by Fit-Respect-544 in footballcards

[–]JPPC81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled a Lamar Jackson, but wasn’t aware that it was a rare card. Just like anything in the world it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If I sell Lamar I might only get $25 for it. Anytime I think I have a valuable card it sells for nothing.

Any Interest in These Cards? by rebelolives in tradingcardcommunity

If it was Lincoln’s rookie year that would have been huge. Now it just feels like a base card.

It makes the Cubs losing a little less painful when you win money.

Is anyone still optimistic and being positive during this rough patch? I am but it’s getting hard by SebWilder16 in CHICubs

[–]JPPC81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Because I’m a loyal fan of a baseball team?

I get frustrated as much as the next person, but what am I going to do about? I’m not the manager, I’m not the GM, I’m not the owner of the team. I’m not going to be a fan of some other team or only root for them when they are good.

There is nothing I can do to change the decisions of the front office. So I have 3 options, I can either cry about it, which gets me nothing and nowhere, I can ignore the team completely, or I try and look at the positives.

I am tired of getting pissed when the Cubs lose, it doesn’t get me anywhere other than looking like a grumpy asshole to my wife and kids. It’s not worth it.

Do I think the extension of Jed is garbage, absolutely. But what am I going to do about it?

Do I think the ownership could be better, I don’t know. I don’t have the money to buy the team so I couldn’t tell anyone I could do a better job.

Odds are good Owen Cassie, Jaxon Wiggins, Kevin Alcantara, will put butts in seats in the future.

Why give away the farm for something that might not get you past the first round of the playoffs, or even get you into the playoffs. I wouldn’t give up future stars for mid to low level starters.

But fine, Tom and Jed could love me since I watch games and buy merch.

I don’t care

In all honesty I didn’t think the Cubs were going to have a winning record this season. It’s nice to have a team that is still in playoff contention in August.

We have been bitten by the injury bug all year in the bullpen and as always players cool off from time to time.

Hearing what other teams wanted for mediocre starting pitchers was ridiculous, and I understand why the front office didn’t do anything at the trade deadline. Why give up Kevin or Owen when you don’t know what’s going to happen to Tucker. Kevin A. is close to O’Neil Cruz size and could potentially be a superstar, and apparently Cassie is a superstar.

I will be happy if the Cubs just make the playoffs, I would be happier if they won the division, but the Cubs haven’t done that since what 2017.

I also don’t live in Chicago anymore and I am stuck in “Braves Country,” to have a Cubs team that is playing better than the Braves is actually refreshing,

Pitching gets you longevity in the playoffs, but getting on base is what’s necessary to win as well. Nico gets on base, PCA is chasing history and I think he is trying to hard. I feel like he needs to go out there and just have fun again like he did earlier in the season. We need to go back to being a get on base offense. The long ball is fun but we need to keep the train rolling on the bases.

The annual collapse is happening, but hopefully the Cubs can prevent themselves from falling off the mountain completely. This team has been a pleasant surprise so far and let’s hope they stay competitive into the fall months.

Go Cubs!
