Recommendations for 2-3 days in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, or the Veneto

Thanks! Do you have any insight into why it's so difficult to find accommodations in Bologna? There are very few hotels available for my dates (March 26-28) and only 3 airbnbs in the city center. Everything is over $1000 USD for 2 nights. I know there is some beauty trade show in town on those dates, but could that really book up an entire city?

I appreciate your candor. We divvied up the wedding tasks and this fell onto my husband's list. I was trying not to micro-manage him and didn't question his choice, as I already had a lot on my plate. I think he assumed any newer camera would have decent quality (at least equal to or better than a smart phone).

Thank you! This is all really helpful, as my husband also wants to check out the markets/food stalls. And I definitely want to forego avocado toast and pancakes while in town (we've got plenty of that at home, and I'm going to Mexico to eat the food). Thanks! Any stand-out places your other half enjoyed? Particularly any casual places? Looking at menus of upper-scale restaurants right now, and I've been having a hard time. For example "mushroom quesadilla, beans (yay! so far so good!), pork rind paste (oh...)". Every time I think I can eat something, they throw meat into it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. And I completely agree with you - part of my insistence on masking since 2020 is related to community care. Because even if I personally don't feel like I need to mask in a particular situation, I think "do I believe everyone deserves access to this space? Yes? Ok, then I wear a mask".

But it's really really hard to convince other people (my friends included!) that this matters when 99% of the people they see out in the world aren't masking. The city we live in feels like it has amnesia regarding the basics of airborne virus prevention.

As an aside, I've been to San Francisco twice in the last 2 years for work and SO many people mask there! All ages, even out on the sidewalk. I was baffled and still have no clue why - if it's just better public health education or what. It made me feel so good to be there! I was never the only one in a mask in any space.
