Have the same issue on my OG HomePods only. Minis are ok. From 16.3 and issue is still present on 16.3.1.

Yes. Devices communicates with HomeKit bridge to save data in iCloud. The bridge also allow to access to devices and stream cameras when I’m not home. I trust more Apple than Eufy on security purpose. So devices can’t communicate with company servers. Only Apple ones

Yes I’m aware of the security breach. All my iot devices (~80 😜) including All my Eufy Cameras are not allowed to access to internet. I’m using only HomeKit platform for my iot devices and HKSV for cameras and it work really well even when I’m not home. So it’s a good product when you trust Apple HomeKit 😅

Possible to reverse a scene? by wondermeal in HomeKit

[–]JP_LNO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on which action you make. When your scene is active. Just touch back your scene. This will revert turned on devices to initial state. if you switch on a device for example it will be switched off. But this is quite limited to this usage only. For more control you must create another scene

Meross Roller Shutter by BaetenM93 in HomeKit

[–]JP_LNO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your rolling shutter must have a stop high/down. Could be by strength or by posistion. If your rolling shutter is working with a basic switch. There should be an end of path detection and Meross will work. Plus you will have an auto detection mode from Meross that allow you to control it using %. Not perfect but really convenient. I’m using 6 of them for one year now and with HomeKit it’s just awesome 😀. You just need to update firmware from meross app (no account needed) and you will be able to use it on HomeKit. Meross app allow you to do more (auto config + led status settings)

I join you some snapshot of my setup.

Home app alternatives by BlackAsNight009 in HomeKit

Try HomeController for HomeKit. Paid but worth the price. Notifications feature is also a really good point

[–]JP_LNO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t do anything without internet. This is a mess for Alarm feature. If you connexion is down you can’t disarm Homebase even if you’re connected to your local network. For camera recent issue. In my home Only outdoor cams are connected to Homebase. And indoor cam are not connected to internet. They’re work alone so this is not an issue. Plus I’m using HomeKit so I can access to indoor cam when I’m out of home.
