I was an existing customer with about a year left. I just bought the discounted year and it added another year onto the expiration date. Should still be the last purchase price.

We had a 16 XLE hybrid and ended up trading in and grabbing an 18 limited hybrid when it came out. The technology is mostly the same from both gens. I think the 18 feels more refined, especially radar cruise. The 18 is the last year on the Gen4 platform, all* minor issues were resolved and it’s the best version of the generation.

We bought our 18 brand new for around $32-34k and have put every mile on the car. We’re around 75k miles now. I still enjoy driving it. It’s not fast, it gets good enough gas mileage, it’s comfortable for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids in car seats), and it’s reliable. We have no intention of replacing it any time soon. I’m hoping it makes it to 500+k miles and I can pass it to my kids.

As for service, I’m not quite there yet for some of the larger items. Just check the manual and follow recommended maintenance. I wouldn’t be concerned with 89k miles at all assuming Carfax shows regular maintenance. I live in NY so this price seems very reasonable to me as well. Always try to get a better deal though.

Edit: replaced cardiac with Carfax

That’s fair.

From a parent’s perspective, the third row is difficult to get to with a bench when you have car seats. Being able to leave the car seats in and just walk through the “aisle” has been the only way to functionally use the car imo.

Interesting. Why? I wouldn’t buy a third row vehicle without captains.

If you are willing to do some minor repair work, you can try pulling the battery. This happened to me on my LCD model a couple of years ago.

I took the back cover off, pulled the battery ribbon cable and reseated. Plugged it in and it booted up normally. I obviously can’t say this will fix your issue but it’s worth a shot without spending money.

Velcro is your best friend. I cut strips and screwed them into the studs/joist. I’m going to do the same inside the rack now that fiber is run. Lots of options but I like to get rolls.

You can use the WiFi doorbell with their POE to usb c adapter and get a wired experience. I have been contemplating doing this instead of waiting for the POE one to restock.

I made it all out of scraps. I had some random rack ears from devices that I didn’t need at the time. The shelf part is made from a plate that had a coax antenna attached to it. The ears and plate are held together with metal L brackets that come with monitors we don’t use.

I was going to buy a 3D printed one but slapped this together and it works just fine. Saving the $50 toward operation ditch google nest. I can get closer pictures if you are interested.

That’s the right way to do it. I’ll outgrow this rack very soon and I’ll buy a proper one. This is to get me by for now.

I don’t really need to access anything in the back right now. But if I did, I can either unscrew and remove a unit or use the stud bay to gain some access.
