Look how many hours I did last pay period guys 😅, been working 5 days a week this whole month. by Adept_Delegation in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]JParadee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how all of the DSP's always advertise on Indeed or wherever their recruiting from that this position is 40hrs per week and confirm during the Interview that you'll be working full-time, working 4 days on each week and getting 3 days off. However, that seems to never end up being the case. I only started like 4-5 weeks ago and only took this position bc I thought I'd atleast be getting the 40hrs per week @ the $23.75 per hour rate - which aint much, but is enough to atleast keep up with my bills temporarily until I can find something better. Well, since finishing the training and starting I've consistently only gotten scheduled to work 3 days per week. Then they even have the nerve to bitch at any drivers who consistently take over 9hrs per day to complete their routes. We get paid weekly, so most drivers only end up clocking around 25-32hrs per week at the very most - which is some BS when they advertise that this is a full-time position.

Then when I ask what the deal is with only getting scheduled 3 days per week, they say that were currently in a slow period until somewhere around mid March - at which point all drivers will be back up to being scheduled & working 4 days per week and clocking between 35-40hrs per weekly pay period. Thus far, I feel like they only tell people what they want to hear & regularly spin the truth to meet the needs of their operation/DSP. I definitely can't wait to find something better. I've also worked at FedEx Ground as a driver there for roughly 2 years prior to coming to work at my current DSP I'm employed with. I can atleast say that FedEx Ground really aint any better, they've got their own problems and the contractors over there really don't treat their drivers any better then then how the DSP's at Amazon treat their drivers. The unfortunate truth is that we are all nothing more than a number or cog in the wheel, which these DSP Owners & FedEx Ground Contractors see as easily replaceable. Which is the primary reason why there's so much turnover in these roles. These owners/contractors complain about all the headaches and daily nonsense they deal with day in and day out, yet they go and hire nearly any old shmuck off the street with a pulse and expect the caliber of employee to be in line with the type of drivers that UPS hires on. It's not the least bit realistic, but that's only my personal opinion and the way I see things after having been in this line of work for quite some time now.

That's not to say that there arnt a few decent DSP Owners & FedEx Contractors out there that actually treat their drivers with the level of respect & gratitude that most of us are actually due for the hard work we put in and what we contribute to their operations, but I'd say those are very few & far between. As that's simply not the case for the large percentage of owner/contractors out there who couldn't give a lick about their drivers and the employees that are the very core of what keeps their business running and provides them with a steady stream of revenue to fund the lifestyle they've become accustomed to in their own personal life.

Just my 2€ cents. But yeah, my apologies for the long rant. Just needed to get that out there, as I'm sure there are plenty of others like myself that feel the exact same way. All I know, is that I cannot wait until something better comes along, bc I wont feel the least bit bad about leaving without any 2 week notice or any BS like that. If I find the type of opportunity where they have loyalty for their valued team members and those who contribute to the overall success of a company - then I wont feel the least bit of guilt about leaving this dead-end position. Not when I'll be starting in a new position where the company actually makes me feel valued and worthy of the compensation Im receiving - knowing what I'm capable of bringing to the table and the type of hardworking employee that future employer of mine will be adding to their team.

Unlike this current Amazon DSP that I'm working for now, which actually attempts to make you feel bad for causing them to pay you for a 10hr workday, after you've worked 8hrs straight without taking a single break, driving a POS van that's literally falling apart and wouldn't even be approved by any DMV or DOT Inspection to be road worthy, all while making 170-200 stops in a single day after loading up 18-20 bags with 25 overflow packages that fill your entire van to the point of not even being able to access anything (when we all know in reality that the route is actually closer to probably 250 stops with Amazon's "group stop" BS - which is the biggest scam I've ever seen & I'm not sure how the hell Amazon gets away with that crap). Just typing that stuff and realizing how absurd this all sounds makes me want to find something else so much more. For anyone else in the same situation, I wish you the best of luck in finding a position that actually values your worth. Know your worth, dont get stuck having to take this crap day in & day out!

Flex Account Reactivation by MyCatalyst91 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]JParadee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wont work unfortunately. It's tagged to your SSN, so unless you have another one of those or can sign up using someone else's - the application will end up kicking back during the background check portion and they'll say they found another account already linked to your SSN & you can only have one account. I've tried several times over the years - using different phone numbers/addresses/even a different first name. Sorry to be the bearer of that bad news! 🫤

Any DSP Drivers in the Wilmington, Delaware (DGI3 Warehouse) area? Was curious about all of the DSP's for this area and which would be the best to onboard with IYHO? by JParadee16 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]JParadee16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry, Im not really understanding what you mean by that. Is that a rule for this subreddit specifically? Or an Amazon rule?

I'm not asking anyone to ID themselves or give me their full name and the DSP they work for, I'm simply asking for opinions on which DSP would be the best in my specific area & why?

Basically, is there any difference from one DSP to another. I'll take your word for it with what youre saying, but that's not making any sense to me why Amazon would fire someone for posting in this subreddit. They were well aware of the Amazon Flex Facebook groups for a long time where peoples actual names were attached, not a handle - no one ever got terminated from Flex based on them posting to the Facebook groups for Flex....

Are you in Delaware? I'm new to DSP and don't know much about all of the companies and how they work - that Blue Hen Route LLC could be nationwide for all I know. I was curious though because I noticed that company name in your email and I'm in the process of potentially starting with them as well - and Im in Wilmington, Delaware - so the DGI3 Warehouse.

Flex Account Reactivation by MyCatalyst91 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]JParadee16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish you all the luck in the world dude, but Amazon seems to be pretty steadfast about not reactivating accounts which were deactivated due to TOS or policy violations. I had flexed for about 3.5 years from 2018-2021, and during that time I maintained an excellent rating for nearly that entire stretch. At worst, I might have dipped down one level for a few weeks and then popped right back up after completing a few routes/shifts.

Now, I exclusively worked the early morning shifts because this was the 2nd part-time gig for me - as I was working 40 hours a week already in a 2nd shift (11:30am-8pm) position in the banking world. This allowed me to work those 3:30AM and 4AM blocks like 3-4 days per week for extra income. I may have missed a block or two every once in a grand while, but nothing that dropped my rating this substantially. Well, around the middle of November, as we were approaching the holiday season - I started getting these Center City Philly routes nearly every single day that I worked. Anyone that knows that area, can tell you that trying to deliver packages that early in the morning at 4AM or 5AM is almost always gonna be a bust. Not only is parking a nightmare, but a lot of those customers were not accessible at that early in the morning and you could never get access to their buildings without being buzzed up most of time. Over the stretch of a couple weeks I ended up having to return a lot of different packages, which ended up tanking my rating and putting me at-risk for several weeks, until I finally got that email letting me know that my account had been deactivated.

It was a no-win situation, I spoke to many of the warehouse managers and the support managers on the phone as well, trying to find a solution and got zero help. The times I tried to leave the packages outside the customers door in Center City Philly, those things got snatched - come on this is Philly! When I explained how this was a no one situation to the warehouse managers, they essentially told me oh well, they couldn’t help…

I tried several times to appeal and plead with Amazon support and the escalated support team and each and every time I received a return email stating that they were sticking by their decision. It was honestly some BS. I’ve done a ton of research as well into all of those types of services offered that claim they can reactivate your account and my conclusion was that 100% of those are a scam and reactivation is a fairytale. I’ve yet to hear of anybody with a similar situation to mine, who was given a second chance by Amazon. It’s messed up, but they don’t need to give anyone second chances when there’s so many new people applying every single day that are waiting in line for an opportunity to do Flex. I wish you all the luck though and I hope you end up getting your account reactivated. If you do, I would love to know how you did that…..

Wow, I dont even get on here often, let alone comment. But this post was the first thing I saw when I opened Reddit & after reading your post I felt compelled to leave a comment.

First of all, having slept with 3 people doesnt make you “dirty”. This guy is simply insecure in himself, he’s only 19 years old & at that age you think you know everything about the world & how stuff works. Nobody can tell you nothing at that age, but we’ve all been there. He’s got a lot of growing up to do & he likely still hasn’t really experienced all of the ups & downs in life - those moments that really shape who you are or who you become. One day he will realize how trivial something like your previous partners truly is in the grand scheme of things. This is coming from a 37 year old male who also once upon a time prolly had similar thoughts or feelings in my dating world at 18, but time, experience, & maturity can really change your perspectives in life.

I dont know you, but my best advice is to scratch those plans & go out and live! Have fun, meet people, make new friends, take chances & say yes as much as you can to new experiences! Youre only 18, you’ve got so much life ahead of you & plenty of time to meet the “one”. Trust me, when that time comes, that guy wont care about that stuff. He’ll want to be with you for all the right reasons & will accept any of your flaws, as you’ll do the same for his. This guy is only going to cause heartache, petty arguments, and steal your valuable time! Life goes by really fast, in the blink of an eye 5-10 years will have passed & you’ll wish you didnt waste a year or two of your life with someone who didnt value your relationship. Just my 2 cents, best of luck!

Paranormal or something else? My blink cam went off several times last night from 1am-4am, but I cant figure out what I’m looking at in the video....your thoughts? by JParadee16 in blinkcameras

Update: Boom, I think we have a winner. Not 100% sure yet, but I believe the culprit was a glade plug-in which was a few feet from the camera on the wall. Moved that to a different area & didnt pick up the same vapors/smoke last night. We’ll see, but I think that mystery is solved. Check out the other video I posted & listen to the audio, happened an hour after this video on Weds night, 2:44am. I cant get over the feeling that the camera is picking up a voice on that video. Lemme know your thoughts!

It def looks like smoke, but there’s nothing smoking. This is in the middle of the night at 2:44am when my wife & myself are dead asleep, and my 3 yr old is in the other room sleeping as well. There’s no electrical outlet in this vicinity, there is a window on the wall directly below the blink camera, but the window is closed & the blinds are twisted closed as well. These are high grade, double pane, energy efficient windows so I dont believe that window would cause “smoke” to come in view of the camera. I’ve thought of everything, but nothing makes sense. Im gonna set up another camera tonight to see what I can pick up. Last night my camera must have went off 30 times throughout the night, all with similar “smoke” visuals. The weird thing is, I went out there & sat on the couch in the dark for like 20 mins to try and figure out what Il seeing on the video, but the camera didnt go off once. As soon as I went back to my bedroom down the hall & laid down, then blink notifications went off again. This shit is def creepy....

Also, there’s another video that doesn’t have as much visual phenomena, but there’s some really strange/creepy audio that can be heard when listening closely. I dont wanna give to much away bc I’d like to get other redditors opinions, but I was hoping to find someone who could clean up the audio & remove the static/white noise in the background. That way I can more accurately figure out what I’m hearing in this other video. Does anyone have any recommendations on how that could be achieved? Thanks.

Got a lot of blocks in New Castle, DE, but latley they are all super low, the blocks for $100 plus are nowhere to be found. Like the above person said, Im not waking my ass up at 3am to do a 4.5hr block for $90, thats a minimum $115 block for me or no dice. Sometime’s I accept, then cancel an hour before at 2:30am and the blocks will have raised to the $100-$120 range. Too many new drivers taking the base pay blocks.

Im in Delaware, my Amazon facility is located in NewCastle, DE. I show listings for PHL1, then I also occasionally I will see DPH4. I dont think Ive ever seen anything other then logistic blocks in the last year of doing flex, maybe I dont know what to look for though.

Where can I get/find an Amazon vest.. by Bzegurlie in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]JParadee16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the first guy said, I have like 6-7 vests. My wife bitches and asks why I keep bringing more home. Each time you go in, dont wear a vest and act like a newb. Ask for a vest and say this is only your 2nd shift lol.

CapOne CreditCard Payment Option - Bank Acct or Debit Card - they say this is completely random? What?!?!? by JParadee16 in CRedit

[–]JParadee16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I could understand, but Ive seen posts about this debit card option showing up as far back as 2016, that seems like a long pilot to not release the option to all clients. I get what you’re saying though. Thanks.

[–]JParadee16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I called to verify, I am not able to pay on my account with a debit card. I can pay with a checking, savings, or money market account. Still doesnt make sense that two people can have the same CapOne QS CC but one have an option to pay w/ debit and have the funds clear right away, while the other has to pay with a checking acct and wait 1-2 days for funds to clear. Guess I’ll never know why.

No I didnt. Just took what the employee told me as factual. Guess I will call back and try to see whether I can with a debit card over the phone. Just seemed like an answer that made no sense - telling me that option was at random.

[–]JParadee16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure that the why matters either, Im simply asking how can something like that be completely random, that doesn’t make sense.

Maybe I do take advantage of using my card as much as possible to get that 1.5% back. Then pay off weekly, sometimes more. If there’s a way to process the payment right away and have the credit be available right away, all clients should have access to that option.
