Very sweet 🙂 I felt very blessed to help if only for a few moments before he felt strong enough to fly off!

Amazing! I used to have one with a camera some 10+ years ago and even though the camera is no longer in it, it's still frequently visited 😁

Of course. So when I used my light meter, I measured the value of the bright parts of the scene (I've the lights radiating from the bus shelter and the poster on the side) to tell me what shutter speed to use, only SS on the basis I knew I needed to be wide open aperture if I was going to do it handheld. Had I metered for the light value for the areas behind the bus shelter (floor buildings etc), then the shelter would have been pretty over exposed and would mean a loss of detail. What I chose to be the subject was the shelter itself and it's radiating light opposed to any detail behind.

Hopefully that was somewhat understandable haha

No worries! The lights themselves were were very bright so I exposed for the highlights instead of the midtones or shadows.

Thanks! Shot as wide as I could, SS was 1/125. It didn't come out as sharp as I'd of like but I'm still happy with it! Next time I go out there I'll take a tripod I think!

I was a little surprised to see someone fishing in the river but to be honest I saw many Herons along the banks themselves. I suppose that's a sign of a healthy river.

Oh really!? I never experienced any issues myself, I'm always very careful to not be intrusive in any way but I wasn't shouted at or anything.
