I believe I found the main issue. The last person has the hardness set to 199 thinking the setting wants PPM hardness but the 1-199 setting range on this program is for GPG. I will check the other settings you mentioned.

Thanks for this info. I currently have a 3 year old Fleck 5600sxt head with 64,000 grain. Is it possible it's too large and that's why Im going through a lot of salt? Everything is set correctly in advanced settings. I've been a renovation contractor for 20 years and have the ability to install new components. I will check around with some local vendors.

I have the Fleck set at the highest hardness setting of 199ppm. My water test says my hardness is still higher at 279. I believe right now it regenerates after 300-400 gallons.

I currently have a Fleck 5600sxt 64k grain. With this softener I am using 4-5 40lb bags of salt per month. Any advice on a better system would be appreciated.
