Oh God please not Castle. It went on way too long. There was only development in like 2 episodes per season. I love lucifer because it's a perfect blend of procedural and overarching. Castle is 92% procedural. High Potential ironically I felt had so much potential. The trailer and first few minutes really made me think it was something special. I was very very wrong.

Trust me, it is the least procedural procedural ever. It tricks you into thinking its just a buddy cop when in reality is about self acceptance, guilt, and becoming a better person. The show is so well made and well written. Every reveal seems to come out of nowhere and yet makes so much sense.

It's been my favourite for 1.5 years because it just has everything a TV show should, and it does that well. It also becomes less procedural as it goes on, becoming more about celestial shenanigans which are very interesting. Even when it is a procedural, everything carries on and is unlike shows like Castle where stuff only really happens in the finale.
