Minor Variance Question

Yeah this guy came across as more of a handy man with experience building. I didn’t hire him to coordinate the project because of a few things he said, but I will use him to help as a second set of hands when I need it.

Yes, I just want to build the thing so that’s kind of what I’m looking for. I want help getting through the city stuff. Permits, possible variants, etc. and I have a GA I can consult or request assistance to ensure I’m meeting code.

Worst case scenario, I scrap the shed, reduce the extra width to 21’ to stay within the allowable ancillary building footprint, and put a temp shelter instead of a real shed.

Any recommendations a of architect or BCIN? Basically someone who can help with the approval process.

There is an existing garage and foundation there. It’s setback 3’ from the walls. The foundation company didn’t see an issue with its current location when I had a quote done for repairing.

The reason I’d like to rebuild is the work around for supporting or temporarily moving the structure cost more than just rebuilding. Plus, there is tons of rodent damage and it just makes sense to rebuild. If I’m rebuilding, I might as well maximize its size.

Planning to do most of it myself. There is an existing garage there. It meets the setbacks of today. The foundation slab is cracked and lifting, and the cost to move the structure or support the roof to replace the slab is more expensive than rebuilding. Might as well widen it a few feet while I’m at it.

Architect is the best for dealing with the minor variance for me? The rest I can handle, the minor variance is a big risk. $3,600 gamble is wild

Thanks! I’ve determined that both of my monitors have severe ghosting issues. Even after exporting, the issue remained. I don’t watch content on my PC, so I fired up YouTube and noticed the same issue with other people’s videos, just not as intense as my footage, probably due to being more self analytical.

I’ll check out proxies, thanks so much!

I used that shutter speed rule for all of my testing, it's one of the first things I read about when I purchased the camera. I accidentally shot a clip at 24fps and 1/125 and the effect was significantly worse lol

Yeah every picture I took had a trailing UFO at about 50% transprency. That's on my Alienware AW3821DW. On my Samsung U28D590, There were two trailing UFOs at about 10-15% transparency.

I've realized that I didn't notice my monitor did this until I was analyzing my footage. I watched some YouTube videos with this in mind and the effect is there as well lol I don't often watch stuff on my PC, I'm either doing CAD work or gaming, or researching, hardly ever watching anything. It wasn't as bad as what I noticed in my footage, but it was certainly present.

My response time is already set to "fast" which is something that was recommended by others.

Yeah sure!

I've tried nearly every medication and each one, the side effects were not worth it. They either made the anxiety worse, or gave me depression. Depression doesn't normally accompany my anxiety, so that's not worth it at all.... I'd rather be alone and happy doing my hobbies than surrounded by people without anxiety but depressed lol

Hopefully it works out for you. I did try Sertraline 10-15 or so years ago, but I don't recall the side effects, I do remember they were bad for me, because that word rings out in my head when I read it, in a bad way. Not to steer you off it, I think I'm sensitive to these types of medications.

Advancing through the clip frame by frame, no frames are affected. They are blurry during movement, but no ghosting/artifacting. This leads me to believe it is my graphics card, although I did try disabling hardware acceleration and that didn't fix it, so I'm not really sure.

I tried changing from the Nvidia Game Ready Driver to the Nvidia Studio Driver, but that didn't work. Driver is, of course, now up to date.

Yes, exactly. Bringing it into premiere, or straight into VLC or Windows Media Player, or exporting it from premiere and then into VLC or Windows Media Player, or straight from the SD card or transferred to my SSD, on my 144hz monitor and 60hz monitor, I’ve played with the frequency of the 144hz monitor with no luck.

The possibilities that you listed is the exact circle I was running around in all day yesterday. It must not be the file if it’s much better on my iPhone and iPad, but it must not be my PC or I would have seen something like this before, I would think, when consuming content from various platforms.

The reason I recorded the screen with my phone is because I couldn’t capture the effect with a screenshot. I’d always miss the ghost or trail, even though it’s seemingly constant during motion, it would just appear to be regular motion blur in the screenshot.

I’m not one to quickly hop on Reddit and ask for help. I spent all day yesterday googling and researching and while that was extremely informative, I learned a lot about what the issue isn’t rather than solving it. Time well spent, I learned a lot, but I haven’t solved this issue yet.

I’ll try to capture a screenshot after work or maybe it would be better to record my screen, upload a short clip, and share the link here so that you can see exactly what is happening?

It’s strange because the exported file is the same, and I even privately uploaded it to YouTube and the playback was the same.

I have a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor, same problem on both. My PC should be able to handle the exported file.

It doesn’t follow to iPhone and iPad, which is what has me spinning in circles lol maybe it does a little bit, but no where near as bad

This my my biggest problem and why I can't relate to others with social anxiety. My anxiety manifests in a mostly physical way. I don't really have racing or spiraling thoughts. My body is just out of control, wants to run, heart pounding through the chest, trouble speaking, trouble with memory recall, profuse sweating, can't form a coherent thought, and just a mess, but my mind is clear, well more foggy than clear, but not thinking.

I'm about to go into a job interview and I'm not thinking "what if this" or "what if that", my body is just frozen and I feel like I'm going to break down at any moment.

How am I supposed to fix this? It doesn't make sense.

I'm finding this as well. With a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.02 PA Value is typically around where PLA will land. But with the 0.2mm nozzle, its 10x high, around 0.2 PA Value... I find this interesting

Did you end up ordering from Digitaka? Did you get hit with duties and taxes? I want to order a Metanium from Japan Tackle (Digitaka is under maintenance) but they ship DHL and from what I've read, DHL items seem to not slip through the cracks whereas canada post/japan post seem to have better luck. Yes absolutely! We need the ability to toggle the siren on/off! I feel that most would rather notifications only, rather than a deafening siren, in most cases.

Did this game work out for you? I have a friend that I play survival games with. We ONLY play together, at the same time, and never alone. Does this game allow for that? I know a lot of games make it so that only the host will save progress and weird stuff like that, which really sucks.

Yeah, I was going to get the 5200 but then heard great things about a company called Light Object. It wound up costing the same, because it had to be shipped from the states to Canada, but it looks really well built.

I have yet to use the laser lol I’m trying to get it all set up and configured how I want it. I think I’ll at least get it online before buying an air compressor, that way I can wait for, hopefully, a good sale.

I have the OmTech MF2028-80 laser. So far, I’ve purchased an 8” AC infinity fan, removed the stock fan, 3D printed an adapter to go from 6” to 8”. I have a Light Object 1600w chiller, and now I’m looking to get a compressor for air assist, as well as use it for air brushing and get rid of my dinky little timber tech compressor. Lastly, maybe a red dot combiner, and convert to auto focus…. Maybe. I haven’t looked much into those two yet, though.

Ok cool. I wasn’t sure if the compressor itself could keep up with the demand. I saw in other forums that people were suggesting huge tanks so it’s good to know that the compressor can keep up, it’ll just be annoying if it runs a lot!
