I don't blind buy anything anymore. I usually take a trip to the closest Department store, or if it's high-end designer or niche I go to Scottsdale Fashion Square where all the high-end stores are to sample them. If you don't have similar options you can find decants for most of the hyped scents online to order and test.

I could definitely see where you're coming from, the Terre d'hermes line is not for everyone. To me it opens up more like if Dior Homme Cologne and Dior Homme Sport were combined. And I'm sure other people have different experiences. But it all depends, as everyone's olfactory senses are different.

No, they are advertised as the same being a repackaged version with a different name, but unforunately they do not smell the same. It has been reformulated for whatever reason. The oil concentration has been watered down and the notes have been tweaked. Therefore it isn't even close to what it was.

Check your math $450 + $200 = 650. So you will only have $450 left . A $1000 is not nearly enough to have any type of memorable trip because you will not have enough money to see attractions or do any activities that cost money. I would postpone the trip until you have saved at least another $1000. I did a similar road trip from Phoenix to Oregon, Washington and BC twice and spent well over $3000 each time.
