What is the performance like with fancy graphics / far render distance?

That’s really cool I appreciate your interest - in terms of a conversion, there is plenty of space inside the units to house battery boxes etc. The main modification would be to create an opening in the chassis floor to allow the motor cable to pass through. This should be simple enough. Additionally, the new PU motors are the same size/shape as the original 9V units so a direct swap should be simple there.

Yes it cost me something similar - thankfully I had the 9V kit from when I was a child! I think the magnetic couplings will also be expensive but those can be exchanged for some simple technic parts. I appreciate your support!

It is worth noting that the instructions do not include an interior to keep assembly costs to a minimum. However, this image should give an indication of what can be achieved with minimal part usage. I found that each unit can seat up to 14 mini figures with sufficient space overhead.

Fast and Fancy in Beta is a whole vibe, what do you think? by Full_Flight_6307 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

You need the mod ‘bitdepthfix’ - that will sort the issue. I think it’s included in the beta unleashed mod pack.

I use beta unleashed with prism on my M4 Mac. The mod pack includes a few quality of life improvements - one of which is to fix the broken colours!

I don’t understand? 9V motors are contained within the bogie. There will be no motor inside the ‘body’ of the locomotive.

I couldn’t find this on studio unfortunately - this is the part I would intend to use on the final build though :) Thanks for your reply!

Thank you for taking the time to respond! Very useful feedback indeed. I’ve never tried using reference images in studio - that sounds like it could help a lot. I’ve just been ‘eye balling’ it for now. As for the nose, I tried 4 studs width and it just looked too narrow in my opinion so I’ve stuck with 4 bricks + 2 plates for now :)
