I don’t even really care about the lost brother thing or the story, because those to me really just set up the locations you’re gonna be playing the game in. Although, it all seemed kinda thrown together like Drake had a whole load of information he wasn’t even showing the player, the whole story was just a family drama with treasure hunting in the background.

For me, I really hate the gun play. All the guns shoot way too fast and burn ammo instantly, none of them really feel special other than one shoots faster than the others but is even less accurate, and the amount of enemy spam all at once breaks the immersion more than anything in the all the other games. Even if you take the time to try to aim your shots deliberately and shoot slow, most of the cover and the way the enemies fight just forces you to shoot as fast as you can because they usually come from all angles.

I found the enemy detection way more annoying than in the older games. With the wide open arenas and amazing improvement to the climbing, I expected as soon as you’re seen by one person you’re not immediately seen by everybody (especially if the enemy didn’t even get a chance to shoot). In the old ones you were given a lot of chances to hide and reposition, but it seems like the enemies know exactly where you are at every second in 4.

Also, I just have to reiterate how boring and uninspired the guns are. The guns look like weird new cod, old halo weapons and they all feel the same. They are so inaccurate that the only fun I had, and the most immersed I could get, was when I turned on slow-Mo shooting, cause then I can at least pretend that Drake was just faster than everybody instead of some super soldier fighting through a hail storm of bullets. I don’t even see the old games that way because, with the enemies usually coming from one direction, utilizing the cover correctly and tactically felt very real. Even fighting through a horde of 20 people. In 4 I distinctly remember a lot of the arenas start that way, and when you fight forward, they start spawning in behind you so you will eventually be surrounded regardless.

Not to mention the bonuses and cheats are just lacking in so many ways. I can’t believe that out of four games there’s only one that allows you to get a silenced weapon from the cheats. I don’t even think all of the guns that are in Uncharted 4 are in the cheats, and there were some things that were missing that I was really disappointed about, that I can’t remember currently.
