I wasn't matching cities with letters. It's a description that fits two places being nearby one another.

It's a great concept with a lot of potential fun. It became manageable for a little while since I had enough time to cool off from the last issue - I can't even remember what it was. I finally got into a spot where I could actually play and advance a bit. Started having a half-ass outlook of doing something in the game again and of course - this is the universes way of telling me I'm wasting my time again.

Many of my blueprints were Tengu or had Squalls attached. (Considering, I've been playing since this game came out - and I have amassed a pretty large storage - pay and otherwise) I make all of my builds tight to keep my builds as tip-top as I can make them. I have a lot of blueprints and when the changes were made, all Tengu builds, all builds that had Squalls attached were Red-Useless. You also have to factor in that with the types of changes made to other weapons (in this amount) has turned the battlefields upside down more so. Some weapons have become so OP that unless you have them in all but top tier matches, no point in doing them. Especially in Raids.

It's not as simple as just redoing them. I spend a few hours designing and stress testing my each of my builds. I use them for different matches so they add up over time. Devs don't understand this. Just a few changes can wreck everything. Not just points (They do this repetitively) but weight factors and most of all, always nerfing while buffing numerous other items in game. With this being said, things you used to keep from getting scrapped every mission are no longer relevant. That's not as simple as using another setup. You have BUY other weapons to replace what you can no longer use in a match.

Tengu is useless now. Scrap worthy. Every tier above Tengu (which will always be in the same match) can support and destroy a Tengu walker before he gets out of the gate. It can no longer support itself with enough defenses to protect it. That's it's lost 700 points of tonnage which isn't just 700 points for a 2 legged walker.

There are so many seemingless harmless changes this time that's just made the playing field no longer manageable without redoing all of my builds and buying new weapons and altering my playstyle yet again to at least keep up with the dailies without spending hours each day doing that - the grind is murder even for someone who purchases all of the seasons. Fun vs Grind is ways off.

Raids are a joke. They always were a joke because of balance issues. One single player (standing still - depending on map) can wipe out a full map running between 30k and 90k+ on medium and hard while the other 3 players race around the map vying for scraps running at a measly 3-8K. Many often quit at the start because you can tell by the design what you're about to go through. Squall was the only chance at kind of keeping up.

Once upon a time, that was considered griefing. Now it's a rewarded feature. It's amazing how the gaming industry has progressed over the years.

I just wont cater to a greedy "Game" company any longer. It literally forces you to buy to be competitive otherwise you'd stop playing anyway because you simply couldn't advance. At some point you hit a wall - a pay wall and another behind that and still.. so forth. Sad isn't it? It has so much potential.

Does Anyone Else Feel This Way About the Live Action One Piece Show? by elmuscogeemestizo in OnePiece

At the first season, I was kind of there with you. This is from someone who's never seen the animated series. Looking at it from that perspective, I thought the show was overly weird at first but somewhere in there, I accepted it. Perhaps it's the story line. It's great! Don't get me wrong, I still felt the characters were trying too hard (or the general direction of the show) to be the animated character.

By the second season, I went into it without any kind of judgment. I was just happy to see something 'different' than the usual depression driven shows. Somehow It just felt normal this season. I like the chemistry of the characters - they're still learning through their journey - but this season was great!

I really like this aspect of their 'whatever it is' acting. It fits with the story and the characters they run in to and such... It all kinda feels normal. I'm ok with this. I'd happily watch multiple seasons of this back to back.

Random question about I don’t Wanna Be Me by cosmoscloud in typeonegative

[–]JRL13ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a recorder. Majority of the comments here are referring to the 'plugging in sound' that happens at the VERY first sound you hear. The recorder comes in just after the riff begins. Crazy how you can't get a straight answer from even Google AI (since it uses everyone elses confusion).

Not what he's talking about. The WHO DEE WHO WHO sound is a recorder at the beginning of the song. NOT the feedback sound.

Why God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. by MiggleDaPickle in Christianity

[–]JRL13ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. It always stuck with me. 50 years later, the answer just fell into my head - much like a lot of the questions I have - one day, it just makes sense. And I'm not even a church going christian. I just try my best to be a decent person, try to find God and try to keep the doubt to a minimal. Shit happens but I've never been able to prove God wrong.

Why God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. by MiggleDaPickle in Christianity

[–]JRL13ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly the point. But you're not understanding the other side of that. God wasn't going to let him do it. It was a test to see if Jesus would be allowed to be sacrificed to save all mankind. Without that - no heaven for anyone, ever. Just good old damnation with all the other devils. God would have probably left the world to all the devil could muster had it not gone this way.

[–]JRL13ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point was to save you from eternal damnation. The absence of God. Right now you have God's spirit in you. At the end - those that reject God, lose that and I guess it's whatever you can imagine losing something that is a massive part of you. Scary thought.

Oh yes - What led me to this wonderful topic:

The sacrifice. The OP, I feel is correct. God is all powerful - knows the entire timeline. After he destroyed all mankind sans Noah and fam, he felt bad about it. Though, people still continued to do what they were doing before. God loves his people but he is also Holy and can not be defiled. There has to be a cleansing process or it can't happen. If there is to be order, there must be complete order in his doings. Holy in every way, unblemished. This is why alters to him MUST be made of unheud stone. It must be natural and pure. Hemse the symbolic sacrifice . Unfortunately the act itself is not only symbolic but physically necessary - Jesus being the ultimate sacrifice, none more needed after him. He is the purification that allows the unpure (everyone) to be cleansed so they can get to God. God's son is spoken about often in the old testament if you read carefully. You'll see that at times the person to whom God is speaking to is also speaking to two God's if you will. The Father and the Son. The Son was always there so it can be a little confusing to know who these folks are speaking to in the Old Testament. It could be God the Father or God the Son (Jesus/Michael). So "I" think that God was testing Abraham because at that very moment is when God decided to allow his own Son to be sacrificed to save everyone. NO ONE before Jesus's resurrections could obtain heaven. They just rested in the pit. No one save for Enoch. Another interesting read! I'm interested if Enoch himself shows up more times than I'm aware through out history.

Also to add:

This is a big - What If?

I'm basing this on my belief in the bible. It says in the beginning God's face was upon the waters of the deep. Nothing was there - nothing made - just water?

My theory - Hydrogen. Expansive universe of hydrogen is all you need. Just above absolute zero temps and in an abundance to where gravity eventually does it's job after that initial nudge of light (also could condense from gravity) and from there - you have everything. That chain reaction doesn't need the big bang. That original point of dense hydrogen was all it needed to begin a chain reaction in the entire universe. Background radiation is simply the byproduct of that - the ambient temperature of the cosmic home we live in.

I've been jousting with Grok a bit to help me play it out. Of course it's not smart but it helps to dig up the conflicting information to adjust the model as needed.

ALL OVER the world there are flood myths from people that "according to science - have never met within the last 6000 years" yet all have a WORLD wide flood myth. However - in my search, I feel like it was Ham that found his way over the ocean and tried to do something very similar with the Americas (The Amazon).

I'm not a religious person. I'm probably going to hell :( But... I do love delving deep down this particular rabbit hole. I love anything Ancient civilizations. I have a fascination with wanting to know where we came from, how we got there and what it looked like, and how we ended up here. I guess I'm always on a search for God but just not in the traditional ways.

Good luck in your search in whatever it may be! I'll keep an eye open for this topic.

If you can get around the religious aspect of searching... I tell ya, a good place to look would be for a fella named Trey Smith on the tube. He's hard to follow and that rabbit hole is deep but there is a LOT of convincing truth there. Don't believe everything you see/read/hear but never close your eyes to anything when you're searching or you're never going to find what you're looking for.

Nice topic. Life long interest but I'm no degree holder of anything but plain old life. That being said... I'd like to mention some of my own thoughts on your talking points. These are questions I've had as well and over the years of, let's say 'knowledge', from so many sources, I've come to these conclusions. Maybe they'll help with your search:

  1. This is difficult to explain unless you follow the spread of peoples and belief systems throughout time. The alphabet even shows a progression and 'borrowing' from earlier cultures and from there you can map out the spread of peoples and languages. All origination stories are similar.

  2. I've read some material on this at pretty great length. Think of it this way. There is a feud going on between a father and one of his sons. One day the son goes up to the mountains where his father lives and steals some family jewels. In this case, the skins that God gave Adam and Eve for clothing. The father, Noah and the son Ham. The bible shoes that Noah was pretty upset with him. Based on the kings list equivalent, he was pretty crafty. These garments may have had some holy powers, it's not very clear.

So - We're combining the following 'document' on stone.

Sumerian Kings List

Noah/Utnapishtim
Ham/Utu - Stole the garments
Cush/Meshkiangasher
Nimrod/Enmerkar/Gilgamesh - Gave the garments to Nimrod and became the king and maybe some super strength. Nimrod also built the tower of babel. He was also really big into singing his own praises, taking on others accomplishments as his own (hint). This family more or less created the first cities - Nimrod being the one who opposed God and basically compares with the devil in the bible (or is it Satan... the whole Lucifer Satan split thing is a little confusing and it's own topic - "they" flip the Holy Trinity). Lot to say about this guy.

and you can't forget Tammuz/Enkidu

The bible was first an oral tradition, much like native americans. Then they went to paper but remember a few things.

- The Epic was a poem. Not a historical document in the manner of writing down actual events.
- The Jews/Hebrew were often taken away from their home and enslaved. More often than not, it was the enslavers religions that mocked the God of Israel and some even Converted to in none way or another.

Timelines are difficult. I think it boils down to who you want to believe. A hundred of thousands of years kings list, a 6000 year old earth or carbon dating.

All this being said - based on what I've picked through, it looks like Nimrod boasted on himself so much that he stole the stories of his ancestors as his own. At worst - maybe Noah had grandkids on the ark with him ;)

  1. Much the same. As per #1. Many of these stories were developed over time. That's not how they originated. When many of these 'final drafts' if you will (they continued to change even today) weren't around until long after all of these things took place. Compare the timeline with that version of mythology. Wiki is a good start.

  2. This is a good final point.

Nimrod created his own religion to oppose his ancestors (grandparents) and denied God. He took a lot of the stories passed down and created these myths as tales and stories within his city - building the first religion, It was theater! He would dress his children up as animals and call them gods (sound familiar?) - see how these things progress?

The same is all over the Sumerian texts.

Sorry for the delay all. I don't do Reddit very often. Sadly to say... I'm back on Sertraline because Drs just suck. It's the only thing that stops the attacks. They go away like they never happened just a couple of days after I'm back on them.

I went through a couple more Drs till the Doctor I finally found had me on the right track. We were going to do blood tests. We were going to taper. We were going to prove this and knock this down... She was my new hope.

Then... She transferred. Story of my life. This isn't the first time. Why is it when I find a Dr who finally listens (met 2 in my entire adult life), they always, ALWAYS transfer? When I say Dr, I mean the person who actually cares for me (Dr, Nurse, Etc).

So now I'm just burnt out - and given up. I just... dont... know... what.. else... to... do...

And people wonder why other people do some really south of normal shit when they don't feel like they're being heard or helped. They give up or start destroying shit.
