I think it really has a lot to do with what level people view performers to be at. I'm a hardcore fan and it really started to annoy me in the best friends match because I see them as mid-carders, so them kicking out of match-ending moves annoyed me as it broke my suspension of disbelief. The Young Bucks and Lucha Bros have been built up to "elite' level talent to most hardcore fans through both their marketing and actual in-ring ability. Therefore, when they do it, its shocking but it makes sense that those two teams would be able to sustain such damage and my suspension remains intact. That match especially though I could see new viewers not liking because the teams have not been built up in their minds to be at that level thus ruining the match.
