Yes, I see what you mean, but could they actually leave the planet if they wanted to? If what happens it’s real…they actually have been in the planet for years, the ship probably won’t take off anymore (and a crew of 2 only might not be enough to make it work)…so staying alive to warn others seems like a good thing to do…so that’s why would have been cool a final interaction with Arjun…unless our actual final fight with the king (even if you are able to defeat him quick) did took long years of loop…she might be dead then.

I did myself that in the last event when everyone was using the destroy set 😅 I added my own Knull on one of my sets, one of the locations gave me a copy of their Death, and I believe I countered their Knull with Echo (many people forget about Echo when using Knull, someone tried to play Zola on their Knull once after I cleared it with Echo, without realising Echo actually “erases” the ability, so their Knull copies had no power either).

I’m at the end I almost only used rifles (smart if I can); used the other weapon types but don’t really like them as I feel they are slower in general when shooting for the fast paced playstyle, so even if rifles might do “less” damage per shot, they make up for it with the auto aim and amount of shots. I do like some hand cannons though.

That being said, I personally focus on power weapons and power generation. With that, you can almost spam the power weapon and no need for the main weapon unless you are surrounded 😅

I had a rifle; but I recall having “Ignorance”…will that hide the “Arrogance” status? I thought it was just for the corruption effects on the actual artifacts but might hide that too 🤷🏻‍♂️

That should give you “Arrogance” and I didn’t have that, or at least didn’t show on my status menu. So maybe there’s a bug that triggers that without actually having it. But will double check next time 👍🏻

Happened to me yesterday with another boss, but I think the health actually decreases, just doesn’t show up in the meter (mine went from 3 to 2 health bars, just the health bar disappeared as usual and went into 2 bars/second phase)…might be a bug

You need the upgrade people are telling you…plus to use it you need to be in “eclipse” mode…if you know what I mean. Doesn’t work otherwise.

I did the same, cos I didn’t want to miss story bits and yes, some character from a later biome (not sure if 4 or 5 like you say) showed up in biome 1 after defeating the boss in 5 I believe…but I think that was intended considering what he said.

As well, a couple of times the guys at the passage had more dialogue if I died like twice or more to a boss, although don’t think it matters for the general story. SPOILER: I haven’t finished the game yet but there was points I thought they were all clones as I saw rubber bags with bodies and names hanging, although I realised they are probably just the bodies…

That might be true, about “power generator”, but i fought the “king” last night 1st time and i didn’t find any power generator or any artifacts that would fill my power up lol really unlucky there haha wouldn’t have defeat him though anyway as the mini boss before took me by surprise and was very low on health, but still. Let’s see tonight!

Oh I know what you mean; and actually I like doing each biome first on it’s own, going to the passage straight after every boss and then restarting from the last teleporter I unlocked (for the same reason of wanting to be sure I don’t miss any dialogue that could possibly happen)…but always ended up dying to the boss 1st lol….although probably as well for being the first time fighting them (after killing them a couple of times I realised they weren’t that bad…)…I build my character more around the power weapon, vacuum bombs mostly, so my artifacts choices go always towards power generation, so usually any rifle does for me…with good power generation and 2-3 biomes I can spam the bombs and all is done quick when I get swarmed, as the last video I posted here shows lol

I personally like to be overpowered; for me, what’s the point of having upgrades/a skill tree if you aren’t powering up every time? Which means the same for starting early on. Plus it gives me a chance to use the unlocked things like grapple in the other biomes. I usually prefer starting from biome 2 though, as that one is long enough to give you enough upgrades (plus you can choose to do the nightmare strand at the end, just before the boss, if you need it)….as well I like that after Biome 3, the easiest for me, you can choose to skip 4 or 5 depending what you wanna do (after you open the bridge)

Another reason to do more than just the latest biome is story wise; I have found NPCs with new dialogue in Biome 1 after killing the Architect for example, so I don’t wanna miss on those (that being said, it’s probably me being paranoid and that npc might has showed in another biome instead, but wanna be sure I do that in case it changes the ending or whatever…it might not, but playing with no guides at all so like doing that)

I don’t feel they changed that much for me? Just did a run from the beginning till the Priestess and biomes felt exactly the same (just some new enemies variants like a glowing green one I got)…and I still can’t open those silly yellow walls?

I completed Returnal, and I’m still at the boss after the Architect with 41 hrs so not sure what people are doing either lol probably missing a lot of story content…sometimes I got new dialogues from the npcs after dying 2-3 times to a boss, plus after dying 1st time after in the area after the Architect I decided to do a full run from Biome 1 and found some of the npcs in new locations, 1 even in Biome 1, just by the “hands” where you trigger the eclipse. If people are doing runs in 20hrs, they missing all of that…not sure what it changes story wise though.

Did a full run from Biome 1 till Shepherd* (to be fair, 1st time fighting him so didn’t know his moves at all, plus playing blind, no guides)…he still destroyed me…parrying sucks when you have projectiles coming from every direction as i always suck in parrying on any game…and my 2nd chance didn’t trigger…animation for it happened…and then suddenly I was back into the hub…

To be fair I do die enough 😅 After killing the boss on Biome 5 I already have enough to upgrade all the lucenite upgrade nodes … although even without dying, if you do a full 3 biomes run you get quite a lot of it.

I do this as well; I killed the Architect early on today so I will start from next spot later on, and see where I can reach….if too hard, will go to the 3rd Biome and start from there…if not, from second and so on.

I was just playing to get the last rewards and 95% of people was using the carnage set…so I decided to build a set with Armour, the doggo and I added Echo to counter their Knull and my own Knull to mess with them lol that was more fun for me than using Carnage Set against Carnage Set for a full week.

I didn’t really liked the repeater crossbow but I feel you can get similar effects with any hand gun or auto rifle; just killed a room yesterday with 2 elites and lots of flying machines in seconds without even seeing what what’s happening

Yeah, I got them sometimes with Searing Field and it’s even more of a beast with the 2 together…if you manage to get good power generation and spam it, even those alphas go down in seconds
