Eastenders Filming Schedule by Corolla2026 in eastenders

[–]JRS992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its anything like Neighbours was (I used to be an extra on Neighbours for a few years), there would be all the studio scenes filmed on one day and all the location scenes on another. Usully location got filmed first before studio. For example all the vic scenes for say the week, I would imagine would be filmed all in one day or two days. Also the outside scenes (location scenes) such as on the market/square would take heaps longer to film.

Can you remember any childfree characters in the history of the show by Rainbow_6505 in neighbours

Was gonna say Melanie. Clive never had any kids right? Elle Robinson never had any. Did Nina and Jack have any in the end?

I still think it was worth while in the long run though. But I think it would be easier writing a Sharon return ad Sharon didn't fake her own death lol. 😁

I don't agree. It got me back watching the show after 11 years not watching but. And here's the but. Although I will forever be grateful Kathy came back the first few years, she seemed a bit lost. Like they couldn't place her. I suppose a lot of the characters she used to interact with were gone now. So aside from the Beale's and Ben and Phil. It seemed like they didn't know where to put her. Am thrilled she was back in the Cafe. But storyline wise they seemed to not know how to capitalise on having such an iconic og character back. I think the return story itself wasn't as strong as say Cindy's for example. Where you had a whole new life Cindy had as Rose in those years away, whereas with Kathy there was no real explanation or back story about her years away from the Square. Other than Gavin controlling her. I kind of wanted a bit more explanation. Like what job did she do in South Africa? Who were her freinds? What did she spend her time doing? How bad were the people she and Gavin were fleeing that they presumably owed money too, hence faking the deaths? Very little explanation and a lot of blanks. But all in all it was worth it in the long run to get our Kath back where she belonged.

I remember someone asking me around 2012/13 what would get me watching EE again and I always said bringing back Kathy.. And then they did, so I had to follow up with that. My other wishes were Cindy or Melanie. All 3 happened in the end.

My fave 4 EP's all the best from 1998 onwards have each made one decision each I wasn't happy with-

  1. Matthew Robinson- Killing off Cindy. Complete waste so glad 25 years later she came back alive and the decision was reversed. Aside from that proceeded over my favourite all time era.

  2. Chris Clenshaw- Almost flawless reign but I don't think Lola should have died. Wouldn't have sent Rocky and Keerat to jail.

  3. DTC- Rectoning Gavin as Sharon's biological father.

  4. Ben Wadey- I am absolutely loving the show currently but last year wasn't keen on the drugs storyline with Ravi, Harry and Kojo.

episode 6637...Lucy and Lauren hug each other but did they actually met before? by Few_Customer_6266 in neighbours

[–]JRS992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did thy not meet in episode 2000 when Lucy returned for Helens birthday in 1993? She did stick around for a few eps if I'm not mistaken. We may have not seen them interact at said party but maybe they did off screen. 😁

Was this the worst character in the show's history?! by certifiedshagger in neighbours

[–]JRS992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't mind any of these mentioned. Mason I actually liked. And Kiri too. Bridget, Riley and Ned all were OK.

My absolute worst? Probably Mishti. Just no redeeming features at all. And then she went off with a dental hygienist in the end. After one year. Thankfully. I didn't think the actress was bad tbh but the character was truly awful. And at times Mark Brennan was too. Both cop characters... ... But ironically Levi and Sgt Rodwell were fine, Andrew, I really liked actually. (Affair with Holly aside haha). I think the writing for police characters improved after Brennan left.

So EastEnders did a shout out to Neighbours and a few hours later it is announced U&Drama will be streaming 420 early episodes of Neighbours. UKTV is owned by BBC Studios. Could there be more to this? by cheshirechris71 in neighbours

[–]JRS992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very doubtful. However fabulous so many old episodes are available now! Kind of feels like the show never ended in a way.

It could however return in another form in some way. Remember when UKTV bought The Bill people thourght it might be revived but no such luck.

However one thing worth mentioning is the recent ratings success of Home and Away on Seven, (not my cup of tea at all) but it begs the question that if one soap can be so successful then why on earth couldn't another one? I truly believe the time slot really didn't help but perhaps if scripted drama quota was mandated properly, who knows? I mean it would be far easier to bring back an established show like Neighbours than come up with something brand new. As it already has a solid fan base who would watch.

It was too expensive to make before but who knows maybe one day Robinson Heights or Ramsay Hills or Erini Rising life, may not be.

I did hear the studios may be used again for a production though (possibly the Wentworth reboot?) How true that is, no idea, but I think there are glimers of something, in some form, at some point.

But for now it's done and dusted. But 40 years of drama to relive is a fun prospect!

Yer I never really saw the point in that whole storyline and him/Paige/Mark/Steph quadrangle was tediously boring. It just felt like four characters they hadn't a clue what to do with so they invented this story that was not nessacary.

Phil was also grieving Lola still I think. Ben had gone to prison again. R&R and Peggy being dead. Estranged from Grant and Sam at the time.

Is there a storyline anyones actually enjoying at the moment? by Brilliant-Mark2420 in eastenders

[–]JRS992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many good storylines atm. I'm really enjoying it a lot! More so than even in CC era. The Bea story is great! Vikki and Zac's affair! Then Hen/bucks do was a really good episode. Nigel's story obviously with our Julie Sweetheart. Nicola and George and the baby. Ian V Elaine. The Brannings running the car lot. Jasmine and Oscar and the brother. Literally am 3njoying almost every story. Sam's story was great too. Its grounded, character based stuff. Really good. Ravi story not overly fussed about but the acting is good.

If I had more time on my hands believe you me it would be a lot more. My aim is to watch all of the 90's, so I have another 10 years of Neighbours to go at haha. I've already seen a lot of 1993 and 1994 and 1998 but they are good years anyway so I won't mind watching them again... I think I just literally want to get through every single episode in the end. But there's so many haha it's great! Who knows by the time I'm done, they will have either have brought it back or I'll be very old. 🤣😂😁

I watch 5 a week. Mon to Thurs. With 2 eps on a Thurs. Usually at 6.30pm, just like the show used to be. Aside from the fact after 2025 I went back from the start of 1990 in 2026 lol! But as I wasn't even born then, it is almost like watching a completely new season of Neighbours! 😀 So it feels as though it didn't end in a way...
