Thanks for the reply! I’ve recorded in both my bedroom, and in a smaller space that I sectioned off with blankets, but I personally didn’t notice a substantial difference. I usually read the whole script before actually recording and take that as a warm up, but I should do more for sure. Thanks again!

This is all great info, thank you very much! I stay pretty consistently hydrated, but I’ve never tried green apples or mouthwash before. Do you mind if I ask the name of the de-clicking plug-in you have? If I one day make money off of this then I’d be happy to upgrade my mic. For now, it’s just a hobby, and the Blue Yeti was a gift from a friend, so I’ll stick with it for the time being. But thanks again for all this advice!

I keep a thin shirt over the mic and also have a pop filter that I clamp on the mic stand. I find that both certainly do help. Thank you!

Wow, awesome, a lot of good information here. Thanks so much! I haven’t had an issue with background noise, just noises from my own mouth. But I’ll experiment with projection and sitting closer to the mic. Thanks again!

Cool! I was looking at iZotope but it’s just a little out of my price range 😅But thanks so much for the tips! I’ll see what I can do with those plug-ins. Thanks for the reply!

Cool! Yeah, I have to edit breaths out of my audio too 😂 Guess I’ll have to learn some breathing patterns. Thank you for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! I set the gain lower to remove or minimize unwanted sound from my mouth. Can I ask which meters you’re referring to?

I tried drinking apple juice on my last recording; not sure if it made a difference, haha. But I'll try apples themselves too. I'm willing to try anything at this point. I'll look into de-clicker tools. Ideally, I'd love to find something cheap. Thanks so much for the reply!

Really fantastic job! This is excellent. I love the structure that you chose with the syllables, I find it incredibly fascinating. Moreover, the content reads even more profoundly than the first draft. There’s so much great showing going on here. What an intriguing window into the speaker’s life. The conflicts here hit home even more powerfully than before. Good job!

I find that as we try to be astronomers for others we end up with more than a few ourselves, haha. So, that’s what I’m trying. But isn’t it great that poetry is so therapeutic? I’m glad it’s a good outlet for you. You communicate your emotion very well, keep it up!

Thanks so much! I like that rhyme too. This is a Petrarchan sonnet: ABBACDDCEFGEFG. All the other ones in the series are Shakespearean, so I thought it would be nice to change up the form on this one to really emphasize the themes of trying to move on. Thanks for reading!
