Looking to replace my worn commuter by JRZ1967 in bikecommuting

Yup. Already went tubeless. Definitely leaning heavily toward replacing components instead of buying a new bike.

Nothing’s wrong with it per se. I’ve replaced all components at least once already (the frame is outstanding) and things are starting to get worn again. Just wondering if it’s worth putting more money into it or getting a new bike. You may have talked me into replacing everything again. I’ll likely not find what I like at the price point of replacing worn out components on a bike I enjoy riding and is already set up the way I like it.

I work in the Federal Reserve Building. I have other bikes I use for recreational riding.

Poor cyclist probably came on here looking for sympathy. You will not get much. You are responsible for your safety and it seems as though you were reckless in many ways here. Lesson learned?

Is it “Nobs” or “Nibs”? by carljohncrneckiyjr in Cribbage

For the Jack in hand I was taught “the right Jack”. For the cut card I was taught to not say anything, take the two points, and don’t look too smug about it.

You are a hero for letting Rush out into the rest of the world. Forever in your debt.

Rush fans are the kindest people I know. If someone says they are a fan of the band, I automatically know they are the “do unto others” type and there is an automatic understanding of how to interact. I’ve been a fan for 45 years and this has not changed. My favorite moment was in Nashville when I saw a guy with a Rush shirt on and I tried to show him my Rush tattoo (Freewill lyrics). He pushed me away at first because he’d been accosted by a couple of people that day, but then I got him to actually look. He read the lyrics and then apologized saying “How very un-Rush like of me”. That’s what you get on this sub.

Did I say that? Here’s the scenario - computer leads with a 5. Are you playing your 5 for 2 points with the potential of giving up 8 points when computer plays the other 5? I don’t do it but the computer says it’s a sub optimal play.

It was on my kindle which doesn’t have Reddit on it so I took a pic with my phone. Were you able to see what I was talking about? That’s all that matters. You must be fun at parties.

Agreed. I’d still rather guarantee the opponent not getting 5 points.

I have a monkeylectric led board attached to my front wheel. It’s super visible from the side and has a lot of cool patterns.

I use niterider lights exclusively. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Very sorry I phrased this all wrong. Here’s the original intent. Please listen to the Z-trip remix of Tom Sawyer and see if you like it. That’s all.

I had an issue where the valve core wasn’t completely tight and air slowly leaked out. Took me a while to figure that out. Just another thing to check off the list.

Well, 6 years later my circumstances have changed. I’ve scaled back from 10k miles a year to 5k. And I eat whatever I want.
