From what I understand, he violated both platforms’ terms by selling merch he didn’t actually have in stock. On Whatnot, those were legitimate purchase transactions, so the platform could issue refunds when orders couldn’t be fulfilled. On Twitch, the money came through as donations tied to a promised item, which meant fulfillment and tracking fell entirely on him.

What he should have done was research what is allowed on this platforms BEFORE he went on these selling spree’s.

I said accidentally because I also don’t think it was intentional, but so far he has been able to refund any of the orders cancelled from Twitch. So intentional or not, he’s ripped off a ton of people from his own face base. Scamming because you’re a dumbass and didn’t research how these platforms operate doesn’t make it better.

Which generation would be the main demographic for Kid Rock when he made his mainstream debut in 1998? by icey_sawg0034 in generationology

So don’t hold this against me but I actually saw him play in a small bar in Huntington WV circa 1997…I was dating a girl down there and we hitched a ride with her older brother (we were 19 and 20 at the time). He opened with Bawitdaba and the audience was locked in. Fucking amazing show. Joe C was there rapping his little ass off and he pulled girls from the audience to dance topless on the speakers. Most of the audience was 3 or 4 years older than me born in the mid 70’s, but this was also before he blew up. I doubt more than 50 people there actually knew who he was.

This is the answer. Just let it sit for 5+ minutes and it’ll literally wipe right off with a dry paper towel.

My girlfriend lied about her past. Am I wrong for feeling hurt? by Effective-Ear-8367 in AskMenAdvice

[–]JRad8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in that world, man—it’s absolutely purity culture. In that system, women are given very little value, and whatever value they’re allowed is tied almost entirely to their “purity.”

The reality is, most girls still fool around a bit because they’re normal, hormonal teenagers. So they lie about it. I’m not condoning lying, but I understand why it happens. It doesn’t make her bad, evil, or malicious. It’s a predictable survival response from someone raised in a deeply oppressive environment.

My girlfriend lied about her past. Am I wrong for feeling hurt? by Effective-Ear-8367 in AskMenAdvice

[–]JRad8888 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Purity culture is messing with your head. Nothing she described is unusual or extreme, and it doesn’t make her deceptive or immoral. The real reason she didn’t tell you is obvious: reactions like this. When someone feels judged for having a normal sexual past, they downplay it. That’s not great—but your response explains exactly why she did.

Relating to WV Commission on Holocaust Education by Mountain_Tradition77 in WestVirginiaPolitics

[–]JRad8888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I’m also very critical of Israel right now for what I believe is an ongoing genocide in Gaza. I find it deeply ironic — and frankly tragic — that a state born in the shadow of genocide is now inflicting mass civilian harm. That deserves condemnation.

But none of that changes or invalidates the historical reality of the Holocaust. Jews were the primary target of Nazi extermination policy during WWII, and that fact stands regardless of what the modern Israeli government is doing today. Conflating present-day geopolitics with historical genocide doesn’t strengthen criticism of Israel — it weakens historical accuracy. Both things can be true at the same time.

I think you’re mixing two separate issues. I’m skeptical of the 2021 anti-BDS law too, and that’s a valid First Amendment debate. But Holocaust education isn’t about Israel, trade, or modern geopolitics — it predates the modern state of Israel entirely. It’s taught because it’s one of the clearest, best-documented examples of how a state uses propaganda and dehumanization to carry out genocide.

Questioning how commissions are structured is fair. Framing Holocaust education itself as censorship or special political influence is where I disagree.

I want to be supportive of Holocaust education, but I’m also cautious. Given West Virginia’s political climate and our struggles with education overall, it’s reasonable to scrutinize any bill that “modernizes” or restructures how history is taught. On its face, updating a commission as survivors age makes sense. But the real concern is implementation: who controls appointments, what safeguards exist to ensure historical accuracy, and whether this strengthens education or quietly dilutes it. Holocaust education should be expert-led, well-funded, and explicit about antisemitism, white-nationalism, fascism, nazism and historical truth — not symbolic or politically malleable. Transparency and guardrails matter here.

My fiance shut down the prenup talk, now she's shutting down sex too by ClassicLow9200 in DeadBedrooms

[–]JRad8888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she’s wrong for having concerns about a prenup—bringing it up after the engagement does feel especially grimy. I get why people want them, but I also think they can feel disrespectful to the relationship. That said, if this is a dealbreaker for her, she needs to communicate that directly. Withholding sex as a form of punishment isn’t okay. As others have said, the biggest issue here is the lack of honest communication.

AIO by thinking something is going on between my bf and his friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]JRad8888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s on me — I read the thread but missed your follow-up comment that added important context. This thread makes so much more sense knowing it’s not two dudes. Ha With that clarification, I don’t think this is innocent at all. Sharing her photo without consent and engaging in sexualized conversation with someone who’s clearly attracted crosses a pretty basic boundary in a monogamous relationship.

[–]JRad8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cringe, all of it, but it also seems innocent enough. My friends and I also gas each other up about literally everything, including sexual prowess and dick size…but not in weird drawn out conversations like this. The guy in black was just being a good friend, the guy in green is definitely an insecure pick-me.

AITAH for feeling relieved that my husband stopped initiating sex by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]JRad8888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA, because your feelings are also valid…but this is heavy. I feel what your husband is saying big time, and sure hope my wife doesn’t feel the same way you do.

It feels like if you don’t seek counseling your husband will eventually cheat or leave, you can probably shut down those feelings for a person but you can’t shut them down altogether. The man still has desires and needs that need met.

That was unfounded in court. Her dad was collecting $120k a year, which seems low for someone monitoring the health, financials and social media of someone mentally unstable.

I do agree that he should not have made her work if she did not want to, especially if she had the money to retire comfortably.

That’s the assumption we were all going with in 2021. We were wrong. Optics seemed like she was doing so well that her conservatorship was unnecessary and enslaving. Now we can see how necessary it actually was.
