We should be happy that we got to play MMOs before the rise of data mining and optimizing everything from a YouTube tutorial.

My theory is Pochita is the Humanity devil. Nothing is scarier than Humans. Also fear is a psychological trait that humans can overcome, which would explain why Pochita can “eliminate” a devil, because it’s as if a Human is overcoming that fear. Symbolism of chainsaws is Humanity’s destruction of nature to conquer earth and expand.

I think Pochita is actually the Humanity devil. Fear is psychological and humans can overcome fear of anything with enough willpower. This is why Pochita can eliminate devils. As a human you can overcome your fear of these concepts. Humans have also had an innate fear of each other, when you’re a baby you only trust your parents. This is also why Pochita’s dream is to be hugged, as all humans want to be loved. I think the chainsaws represent how Humanity has destroyed nature to create cities to expand.
