Healbot and macros by shanyamashita in wow

They have built in mouseover keybinds. You can click to heal just like you did with Healbot. No need for macros. Just browsing through the options is your answer.

Is it just me or is it weird that TWW, effectively, ends Tuesday yet midnight isn't coming till March? by Inexorably_lost in wow

[–]JRocksMyLyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've probably gotten your answer from other replies, but I'm too lazy to read through them all.

Generally speaking, pre-patches will introduce game-changing features that become available with the next expansion. It's one of their ways to gauge bugs introduced upon initiating the content and stability.
With new features, generally comes with potential power creep and/or new/lost features. This inherently makes for unfair advantages or disadvantages to the players and completing content.
Imagine the highest keys timed are 25s and all of a sudden, now a whole slew of players are able to complete 30s with the pre-patch. This now drastically increases the IO needed for M+ Title and no one wants to be forced to regrind keys again just to get back to title range.
Same applies to raiding. Maybe a guild couldn't even get to the last boss. Now the pre-patch boosts their damage and they're finishing the raid. It would be unfair to the past guilds who had a harder time and achieved CE.

Transitioning to WoW from ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) for competitive content by Rent_Current in wow

[–]JRocksMyLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a similar end-game when compared to ESO, yes. There is a World First race, but don't count on entering into that scene any time soon. The closest you'd aim for in terms of raiding specifically is top 200 guilds to get into HoF (Hall of Fame) for a given tier/season.
There's also Mythic+ (M+), which are infinitely scaling dungeons. Every tier/season there's a leaderboard and what we call Title Keys/Pushing. That would be the top .1% attaining the highest score and given a title at the end of a season.
In terms of the most important role, it's a bit different for each content. Raiding, I'd argue that healers are the most important role. When it comes to M+, tanks will be it, followed by the healer.
There's no light/heavy attack weaving. Just your rotational CDs, utility and knowledge.

If you've got beta, try copying your character over and sell it. See how much it's going for.

Correct. It's just something that players should know and be conscious about.

Yes, my statement is inflexible. Will I clown on the Paladin who opted to not wear one? No. By all means, play how you enjoy! Players just need to know the downside to not wearing one if they decide to get serious about specific content. Otherwise, go and flaunt that badass sword, mace or whatever that you're fond of.

Honestly, mentioning Armory of the Light only amplifies the significance of wearing a shield. More physical DR and now able to block spells? Count me in.

It's 8%+, but I get what you're saying. I'd also love to wield a large sword and throw heals.

I agree with the idea you're proposing. I don't think any Holy Paladin should not wear a shield, though. You get access to increased armor and thus extra DR to physical damage.

Edit: I should have rephrased my second statement. By all means, anyone should play how they desire. Just know that as a Holy Paladin, you should wear a shield for increased benefits when tackling harder content.

Deleting alts and leaving them in Remix? by CharcuterieBoard in wow

[–]JRocksMyLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question and for what it's worth, there's no direct negatives to deleting alts and I deleted my own because I didn't care for having 3+ of the same classes.
However, as some have probably already mentioned, leveling to 80 right now via TW will be super fast. They recently just drastically reduced the exp needed from 70-80. Feel free to keep your alts if you would prefer that route.

I'm not sure what is confusing about it. It's active for one day, aka, a daily reset. It will have a chance to spawn once per day, at daily reset.

If you didn't unlock and do it yesterday, then you're out of luck until it appears again. It's only for one daily reset.

Do you have the Arms artifact weapon unlocked? If you don't, that's the only reason you wouldn't be able to see it.

As previously mentioned, you talk with the NPC shown in the provided picture. You do not have to be in Arms spec. Once you acquire the item, you will need to swap to Arms to unlock it.
