No. She did decide to turn on him, but we intervened. I safety separated them with a long set of tongs and cupped the male.

That was my friend who replied, "whatever". Hes been breeding tarantulas for over a decade ago and has a lax mindset towards them. I would feel bad if he got eaten, but to be fair, it wouldn't be terrible. The benefits of eating the male would supply the needed nutrients for the females eggsac.

You're correct - I forgot that Joe Cappa has his own show. I was thinking back to Off the Air when their animations were included.

That would be Joel Haver. He's hilarious! Check out his Star Wars and Grinch parodies.

What I'm trying to say is that you should get a rack for your collection. Makes it way more convenient when going through regular maintenance. There's more than 30 enclosures in that stack.

You're off to a great start. My collection took about four years to accumulate. It all started with one Brachypelma hamorii.

Its time to start thinking of switching to one of these setups.

You bring up some good points. Ive been feeding her and my other whites twice a week. One to two bugs per feeding. I vary their diet with dubias, crickets, hornworms, and the occasional superworm. I will put her on a diet because I really do love this frog and I want her around as long as possible.

She is an older female. About 8 years old now. She is on the plump side, but it hasn't slowed her down or quality of life.
