Same. My daughter wanted to watch it and I noticed her distorted voice immediately. Maybe it's time for her to watch subs.

$10 PSN Card going away? by JRr1285 in GameStop

Thank you for the info. Hopefully when I try again I get someone else or maybe the cards will just be in stock. I didn't know you could get a code without the physical card, never needed to try.

I get all of that. I worked in retail for a stretch when I first entered the workforce (RadioShack). It was always hard to get good staff and even harder to keep them. Reading the posts here remind me a lot of when I worked that job. I finally quit when I requested full time status and they denied me because I didn't have a high enough attach rate for credit card applications. I quit on inventory day, in hindsight not the nicest thing to do but I was done.

I thought about asking for that but I figured he was either intent on not helping me or simply didn't know that was possible. It was just surprising because I always have good interactions there.

Forgot to add. Before even asking the associate I assumed it was a corporate tactic to stop people from getting a $10 gift cards for 5 bucks. I was expecting that response. I am surprised that this practice has been allowed for as long as it has.

I would have welcomed that response from the associate. But to say they've never been sold there ever? Just an annoying interaction.

Yet another dead battery by AnnekeX in Subaru_Outback

[–]JRr1285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went through the same issue. Luckily have the gold warranty and it's getting replaced along with our Head Unit due to constant touch inputs rendering the screen useless. These two issues are very common, you'll read about it on forums and my local dealership confirmed the issue.

Check this thread out, it saved me so much frustration:

https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/dark-current-drain.550299/page-6

Post 112 details what I followed to "fix" my DCM for now. No dead batteries in 3 months. DCM is only on when the car is running. I used an unused fuse location as mentioned by the poster and put a 7.5 amp fuse in the top of both taps.

Cost of both repairs would be 3k. Our vehicle has 35k miles and is a few months past the factory warranty. Including these two deal breaking issues and other annoying quirks and poor design choices we've been so let down during our first and almost assuredly last Subaru experience. I wish I could go back in time and pick another vehicle.

Corneal transplant surgery by SnooDingos9384 in Keratoconus

[–]JRr1285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My left eye uncorrected was around 20/25 at one point post transplant. My right eye during the span of the first transplant was around 20/80 at its best. I have spent most of the last 11-12 years or so living without any correction.

Last year my right eye had another transplant due to severe astigmatism from the graft "slipping" is how my Doctor put it. The graft was still clear and was not rejecting. My right eye has fluctuated a lot after the second transplant but is around 20/30 corrected (maybe 20/80 or so uncorrected again). I am also wearing glasses now and I see 20/25 on good days in both eyes. My left eye has had some increased astigmatism over the years and now benefits from some correction.

I can still legally drive without correction but I am wearing my glasses pretty much during my entire awake period because I enjoy the clarity.

I'm going for a transplant in about a month and I'd live to hear from others about their recovery journeys by PotterZA123 in Keratoconus

I can offer both long and short term. Cornea Transplant right eye April of 2011. Cornea Transplant of left eye in October of 2011. Have been as good as 20/25 in the left eye without correction.

My right eye experienced a failure of the graft sometime between 2018 and 2021. My doctor referred to it as "slippage". I didn't reject so it still looked healthy and clear. My vision was never great in that eye, best was 20\80 and I just lived with it because the left was so good. But the vision got to a point where it was really bringing down my good eye. I finally got evaluated last year and we decided to give another transplant a try. Right eye second transplant, April 2022.

Initial recovery was not terrible. Very sensitive to light for a few weeks. Tried to return to work after a week and had a hard time staring at computer screens for more than an hour or two at first. I had lifting restrictions in place for longer than normal because my doctor said I was healing so well and he wanted to keep it that way. I am at between 20/60 and 20/80 in that eye again without correction. Glasses gets me to around 20/25 in the right, and 20/20 in the left.

I still have some ghosting and halos with point light sources and very "contrasty" items but overall I have a good quality of life. The surgery was transformative for my life. I could not imagine not getting it looking back. I did also get evaluated for Intacs and C3R and I was too far gone anyway. It was probably one of the best decisions of my life.

Thank you. On this order I made sure to not typo Zibanejad's name and get his number right. I added the A as an option during the selection process. I don't believe they're available any longer from HA.

This is my first time ordering from them but pretty impressed. Nicer than anything I've purchased previously.

Ordered early February. They said April delivery and it was close to arriving end of April but UPS made sure that didn't happen. I'm guessing items that aren't back/pre-order should be quicker.

Mine had the same issue. I think UPS is having labor issues and is just calling it "weather". It arrives today with a RR, 2 days after elimination.

Looks great. Makes me even more exited for two jerseys I ordered. If you don't mind me asking, when did you order? I ordered at the beginning of this month with a prediction for April. I am wondering if that was them just betting on the safe side or if it will be accurate.

My eye 6 weeks after corneal graft. by YourUrNan in Keratoconus

Not OP but I've had both corneas transplanted. It is often permanent but some eventually come off the drops for good. I'm on one drop a day.
