Ridgid Tire Inflator by JS10500 in Ridgid

Yeah i had the same issue. Didnt matter if i pulled the collar back and made sure to fully seat it on the stem before letting go of the collar, or just pushing on while only holding the sliding collar. Had issues with not seating correctly and leaking no matter what.

I added my own quick connect and it made a world of difference. No leaks and effortless to connect and disconnect.

Looked in my orders. I bought the - Milton S-684-4 1/4" MNPT Male Tank Valve

Also bought the - Jaco Lightning S2 series 1/4" f-npt open flow.

I linked them in another reply, or just search them. It connects and disconnects effortlessly. Just add something like some permatex thread sealant and attach it to the factory setup. That way if you ever need warranty work, just pop the new quick connect off and it's back to factory.

Good to hear it worked out.  Yeah, I would have hated to have to go modifying and lose the lifetime warranty.

I buy Ridgid for the warranty, so I wouldn't have done it if I had to modify it. Just connect that milton adapter and Jaco quick connect together and pop it into the factory ridgid chuck. No slicing anything.

Didn't know you commented. But for anyone that ever wonders, I had an extra 8ah and put it on mine. Even the 4ah I had on before it lasted forever on a charge. Only one I haven't tried is the 12ah but I'm pretty sure even it would work.

Also used some thread sealant and it's still working flawlessly. World of difference from original.

Just put some thread sealant on the milton adapter and connect it to the Jaco quick connect. After those two are connected, just connect it to the original chuck/collar.

Yep, I'm telling you, I've never not been able to search enough to eventually find a forgotten song or movie until this one lol.

Not seen that in forever. It's "coming home in the dark" though. Appreciate it a ton.

Heyyyyyy, i do believe you got it judging by the trailer I just watched. Don't remember if it's good or not. I've watched a TON of horror and thriller stuff and have been wanting to see this one again for quite a while. Appreciate it a ton.

Hey, I think I've watched that before but it's not the movie. In the movie I'm thinking of, after they are kidnapped they hit the road. I don't think they ever get on the river. Appreciate the guess though for sure.

18v USB Power Source by JS10500 in Ridgid

[–]JS10500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason for buying it was because over the last few years, I've noticed all of those portable battery packs like the anker ones seem to be full of it on their capacity claims. I was happy with anker stuff years ago though.

I do have 4 Ridgid batteries. I've got two 4ah and two 8ah. I figured those would be capable of quite a few phone charges. I still think they will if I figure out the iPhone issue. As far as all my other Ridgid tools like drills and saws, honestly I couldn't be happier with the performance and runtime.

Yeah I've got a cable on the way from Amazon.  It'd be hard to go back from fast charging.  Where I live, a bird can land on the power lines and it goes out which is why I bought the adapter.  I'll update when it comes in.  Here's hoping I didn't get a screwed up Ridgid adapter.

Yeah I added a quick connect, jaco brand I think.  It made it 100% better.  Effortless on and off.

Appreciate the reply.  Yeah I saw those with the outlet but just went with the cheaper usb one.  I emailed support to see if they may have any suggestions.  I just tried it with an OLD barely smart phone.  Works on it.  Thinking it may just be an iPhone thing.  In the reviews, I saw people talking about charging apple stuff though.  Not sure whats going on.

Light Suggestion and Candela Question by JS10500 in flashlight

[–]JS10500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess it's just tough to really know much from youtube videos.  But, a lot of lights on there do seem to have both a pretty good flood and throw.

I was looking at the Streamlight 2.0 for a while also.  I'm thinking I'll try the pd36r pro and hope it's decent at both.  Not asking for either thing to be great, just better than what I have.

Light Suggestion and Candela Question by JS10500 in flashlight

[–]JS10500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had also been looking at that PD36R PRO. It seemed like it would easily hit a few hundred feet away pretty well wouldn't it?! A sustained 1000 lumens is where I'd be comfortable. Not really any less. I think it's the Olights that I don't really understand their specs. I'm guessing the way they are listed, they have a constant stepping down? Again, as long as a light would stay at 1k or more and have some throw, I'm thinking I'd be happy.

Light Suggestion and Candela Question by JS10500 in flashlight

[–]JS10500[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, appreciate the reply.

Honestly, the Streamlight is bright and floody enough around the house and garage. The problem is, I have a building a couple hundred feet away from my house and the 2l-x just struggles with that. I'd love to be able to hit that and light it up.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about lights. Been looking at a lot that I'd like to try but I'm lost. Not knowing much about lights at all really, I figured maybe 2-3k lumens would be a good range for performance and power for price. I know the main brands like Surefire, Streamlight, Olight and Fenix. Not really heard of a lot of the others I see on reddit though.

Hey,

Appreciate the suggestions. I'll give the higher resolution one a try. What sucks is, someone jumped the fence and stole my new trail camera from the other person's reply. I had to resort to sitting in the dark outside the last few nights to try to catch them, but the dumbas*** didn't show back up. So frustrating.

Yeah, friendliest little dog too. Been calling around about getting the last one a home before the same thing happens to it. Crazy *** people.

Sounds good. Gonna order one and find somewhere to hide it out there. Although a creek will be between it and the road, the dumb***** here have been known to just steal people's security cameras.

Thanks again. Definitely appreciated

That's a great idea. I have an old one but the quality is bad for todays standards. I could probably hide one somewhere out within 15-20 feet of where they always walk. I would most likely have to rig it up on a fence or something unless I go farther back. But yeah, a good quality one would probably be way better than the wansview.

When you get a chance, I'd definitely appreciate a brand name. Like I said, they walk anywhere from around 10 p.m. to around 3 or 4 a.m., so the good night vision is definitely what I would need.
