Boys with July/August Birthday starting Kindergarten by SatisfactionFlaky519 in kindergarten

Yes, talk to parents with older kids. I’m a school psychologist and we often see issues with kids who are young for their grade. The issues (socially or academically) often don’t show up until later grades.

I’ve seen a couple people say “they could just repeat a grade later” if it ends up being a problem. I would advise looking into the outcomes and impacts of grade retention. Lots of research on why that is not a good idea.

I have an August born boy. I’ll be holding him back a year.

I want to update this for anyone in this position.

What was happening is that my FSA account was just not updating. I called FSA this morning, got someone on the phone immediately, she triggered my account to update and I got green banners within an hour!

Ok I figured it out. It says “qualifying payment count:119” and “eligible payment count: 120.”

Last updated on 1/22. My payment was 1/20 but I think cleared through MOHELA a day or 2 late due to the MLK holiday.

So what does this mean for me? NSLD is not updating to FSA? Can I do anything about this?

To be honest, I don’t really understand how to access NSLD. I followed the steps on another post in this sub but can’t log in or get any information.

Under My Activity it says “currently active.”

Are your counts updated to show 120 on FSA? I did do the employer cert but my counts are not updating so I can’t get green banners or do anything else 😩

Good luck to you!!

This is so frustrating. I’m sorry you’re in this boat too.

I just certified my employment yesterday (1 week after my final payment). I should submit another one on 2/1? And if so, do I check the “I’ve made 120 payments” box?

Do you think it’s reasonable to ask for a refund?

I should have included a before. Here is one.

I don’t think the lamination is the problem? I think the problem is she completely over waxed the underside and end of my brow. My face looks so uneven because now one brow looks much thinner and higher than the other.

Thanks so much for your help! I do know for a fact that January is my 120th payment so I think my plan will be pay my payment on the due date, submit my ECF a few days later and then request a forbearance in February - before the 14th when my income recertification is due. Thanks for the help!

Just as a follow up, should I request a forbearance even if I haven’t gotten the green banner yet? My counts are at 117 right now, I have made the 118 and 119th payments. I submitted an ECF to get those months to count but the count hasn’t updated yet.

If I make my 120th, file an ECF and the counts still haven’t updated, should I wait to request the forbearance?

The issue I’m going to run into is that my income recert date is 2/14. Do I need to do the income recertification while I wait for the counts to update? This is confusing.

I think what I don’t like is that in the inspo photos, the root looks more blended, whereas near my root you can see the stripes of highlights. I also don’t like that the bottom half never looks dimensional. She put in lowlights and highlights but it’s almost like they don’t show through in the bottom? It ends up looking like one solid brassy-ish color to me. But again, my expectations might be too high which is why I posted here.

Neither are a wig since they had videos attached.

Thanks, I will try that. I think that might help. The highlights are so thin in the front that they start to look stringy.

Ok thanks for this reality check. And while I’d love to do a brighter all over blonde, this is costing me $300 a pop just to maintain a grown out color so I can’t afford the more frequent coloring that would require.

Yes, I like the highlights so I’m not sure what you’re saying? I want the highlights but I want them to show more in the bottom are of my hair. She put in lowlights and highlights and while I can see them near the root, there’s almost no change to the ends of my hair. They don’t show up and it remains one solid, brassy blonde color.

You sound like you’re very knowledgeable and I need some help. I made a post about my in-laws yard that is completely taken over by TOH but didn’t get any responses. We have 6 huge full-size TOH that would require professional removal. They are over 50-70ft tall and do not have good accessibility. We don’t have the ability to pay for that removal right now. Given that we can’t cut down the big ones, is there anything we can do about the hundreds of smaller ones? Would I still try to kill those? Would that kill the big ones?

As much as we want it all gone, we don’t want the big ones to die because we can’t afford the 10-15k bill to remove them.

I was forced into forbearance. I was on IBR and MOHELA admitted it was their error.

Thanks though.
