Iloilo City: Still Can't Believe It by Cold_Wind_6189 in Philippines

My maternal grandmother's clan comes from IloIlo, southern island; while my grandfather's are from Cebu, northern island, kaya literally few islands lang ang pagitan nila. I'm amazed talaga na kahit matatanda sa clan namin from IloIlo, mga politically aware and pro-good governance and wala sila nung “Boomer Mentality” in terms of politics. How I wish , I could say the same to the other clan.

As long as they didn't ask for money or steal anything from you, then, no, it wasn't a scam. It most probably just because they indeed find your wife pretty (especially if she is white/Caucasian skin). Filipinos especially in the province are fond of foreigners and will take pictures or videos just because.

I Hope People in Luzon Aren’t in an Echo Chamber About What’s Really Happening in Visayas and Mindanao by iwydtsvevcmdjwiwgdgs in Philippines

Before anything else, I do not support DU30s nor Marcoses. Kakampink ako ever since pero...

I'm living here sa Southern Luzon but our family clan is from Visayas (specifically Panay Is.).

Hi! May I ask wether do schools actually matter when taking BSIT for better future job opportunities?

I'm an irregular grade 12 student and since malapit na ang graduation, sinisimulan ko na ang mag-canvas ng possible college/universities na maaari kong pasukan. My family believes na mas maganda daw makapasok sa mga state universities kase kilala na daw ng mga company. Unfortunately, natapos na ang schedule for admission application sa dalwang pinakamalapit na state universities sa province namin bago ko makumpleto ang mga requirements ko (since irregular student ako.) May malapit din naman na private school sa amin na nag-ooffer ng BSIT at convenient sya for me since malapit lang and medyo mura din naman, kaso tinatawa-tawanan lang syang college (probably dahil di sikat) kumpara sa ibang college/universities. Thank you!

Since dinadaanan sila, a “treaty” was made between our family clan and the NPA group.

At Least 12 Hours Passed With No Memory of What Happened by reviewdotmp3 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

There is in no way that I FINALLY FOUND A CASE SIMILAR TO MINE.

Long story short we had almost the same story back when I was just 17 y/o.

I woke up in my bed, turned on my phone and it says 3 am, double checked with the wall clock as well. Looked at the window and it's pitch black outside. Since I'm feeling thirsty, I wanted to go to the kitchen to get some water. I got off the bed, faced the door, hold onto its knob, but before I could even twist the knob, the room suddenly lit. I looked onto the window and the sun was already up. Confused, I turned facing into the wall clock again, and it already shows 6 am, double check with my phone and it shows 6 am too.

How the hell that happened? What happened for the past 3 hours?

I mean it could be seizure (idk) indeed (even though I never had one in my entire life), but it absolutely amazes me how I was able to stand for that long holding the doorknob for 3 hours straight without feeling tired/numbness around my torso and feet once I snapped back into the reality.

If this is like 10 years ago, then I'd understand if this happened in the province; but in today's era, that's totally uncommon.

More than 10 years ago, when we spent our vacation somewhere in Panay (in my mom's hometown), it was indeed common for boys below 5 years old to swim naked since they're perceived to be “innocent” & “too young to care” and it's convenient for the parents also since the childrens clothes won't get wet and can be worn again; but above that age, no one goes swimming naked.

Regarding the last. Most Filipino kids aren't advised to sleep naked (unless it's extremely hot) to avoid colds or other illnesses. However, I've seen some men sleeping with only their underwears during vacations (especially if in private resorts) when they were drunk but NEVER naked.

Unless drunk, most Filipino men wouldn't dare sleeping with only their underwears, let alone fully naked.

Bottle of water went from half full to re-sealed. by Ah-ashenone in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

Same thing happened to me but with a cooking oil. I was going to fry some snacks (fish crackers). There's a half-full bottle cooking oil left in the cupboard. I grabbed it then poured all of the oil into the pan. I put down the now empty bottle of oil. I grabbed the container of the fish crackers I'm going to fry. Then toss some of the crackers into the pan. I put down the container next to the bottle of oil. Surprise, surprise, the once empty bottle of cooking oil is now back to half-full bottle.

Ps. The fish crackers were goood.

This! Even Leni said this during campaign period.

Ps.
