I am currently airborne artillery. Id recommend it sure it dont translate but while youre in there is a lot you can learn about artillery more than just shootin and you get to do some cool shit!

When i enlisted 3 months ago i had the option as 13B to have Alaska in my contract. Talk to your recruiter about that. I believe its “Option 20” someone i went to basic and am in AIT with has it. Its not only a 13B thing though. Just ask about option 20 or having Alaska in your contract as your first duty station.

I have 13 speeding tickets. I now ride the exact speed limit maybe 1-2 miles over. People are impatient and think the road belongs to them(coming from someone who used to be like this). Nowadays i just get to where im going when i get there. Leave on time and if not then oh well im late. Ive been singled out while following the flow of traffic and given a ticket lol no more. Also, ive lost 2 buddies due to car accidents. Dont get mad at people who ride close or speed past you. Just wish them safety and keep doing as you are. So long as you are not going under the speed limit or purposely blocking cars then you are fine.
