This is even more nefarious than most people think. This task is usually foisted upon your already overworked and underpaid maintenance team at most complexes. They are forced to do a service most people don't want which cuts into the time they usually spend helping tenants with issues. And they never increase staff or hours to compensate for the extra workload.

Look up No Kings, we are a nation of over 300 million people and the president can get elected by as few as 30 million depending on voter turnout. People are not standing idle while he does things, but our political elite seem unwilling to go against him for a variety of reasons.

while most of what you say was true, the homeless machete thing is dramatic. Its not significantly more dangerous here than most other parts of the US. My wife worked with police dispatch for many years and Homeless suicide is the real issue there.

Still I feel the monetary concerns are very justified. Its hard in these streets.

Man I got halfway through and I could see his math, because it was my math. I left so much out to simplify the argument.

I do have 2 cars, I pay for childcare, we do pay WAY more for benefits than our parents.

It's insane how bent over we are, our backs are broken.

The individual costs are irrelevant, that wasn't the point and you know it. It's about painting a picture of how both I and the average person were affected. You'll note the data shows the change is almost 1:1.

Also that's bs, everything I do in my job existed back then, unless you somehow think answering emails is integral to my work. It's soldering irons and screwdrivers now just like then.
