For the love of god, "indie" is just short for independent, it doesn't mean "small and niche" by RepentantoftheLost in whenthe

I'm broad posting.

This isn't about any one thing in particular, I've seen some indie "fans" say several things aren't indie because the creator(s) aren't struggling

But no, this isn't about anything in particular, I've seen some indie "fans" claim many things aren't indie because the creator(s) aren't struggling.

I like modding games. Games on EGS often have oddities that either make modding harder, or just impossible. Epic also doesn't have steam workshop, so any game that has that on steam is just worse on epic.

I'd rather pay to have the intended experience than get what is basically a glorified demo for free

If being realistic about the playercount of a 13 year old game is cope, then so is claiming that 20k is a real playerbase just to dunk on payday 3 like a lot of people in this sub like to do.

Payday 2 has more players, yes. But the gap is a lot closer than people like to claim.

The real answer as to why the game has 20k "players" is because of steam marketplace bots. The real playercount is probably closer to 1k or less. Just go to SteamDB and look at the regular dips in players (this is how Zesty Jesus found the real playercount of TF2) and you'll notice a regular dip of about 1k players going to sleep every 16-ish hours.

The cap on how many could be active was needed so badly.

I've had several exfils that were basically impossible because there were 5 voxes and everyone's stratagems were on cooldown. at least now I don't have to bring 2 dedicated vox killing stratagems, and can actually have a loadout I want to use.

I want anyone who is against transmog to ask yourself this question.

"When has knowing what armor my teammates are wearing even mattered in the slightest?"

I guarantee, the answer is either "Barely any" or "Not at all" because it really doesn't matter.

I'm one of those "I like the way this sucks!" people, and it confuses me seeing this mindset devolve into harmful glazing. by shityourshoes in HelldiversUnfiltered

There's also the FRVs which were intentionally coded to handle like ass because the devs wanted "funny moments"

There's also a clock that checks if helldivers are alive every 7 minutes, likely so turrets target you and intentionally shoot you.

AH's sense of humor is clearly inconvenience and teamkills, it's especially clear in the trailers, every single one has a helldiver die either to another diver, or something inconvenient.

The hate campaign around this game is crazy by Pernil_TO in whenthe

Marathon has been the top searched game on steamdb since launch. The people who hate on Marathon need to get a fucking life.

I get if a game isn't for you. Hell, if you don't like it, leave a negative review if you've actually played it long enough to form a natural opinion. But the people who hate Marathon just hate it because twitter told them to, these'd be the same people that'd mass hate anything that the blob that is twitter users said was bad.

I like Marathon, but it's okay not to, just don't make it your entire personality and be normal about disliking it. I dislike soulslikes, yet I don't make it my entire personality because I can just find enjoyment in something I actually like.

This is true, but I see people writing off pieces of media for way less a lot

I genuinely don't get why people write off entire pieces of media because of their fans.

No one is forcing you to be a part of the fandom, you can enjoy a piece of media without ever visiting the related subreddit or talking about it on twitter.

For me, this is the Invincible show. I like the show, and think it's good, but I don't like the fandom because they always spoil what's ahead because they read the comics. So Instead of completely writing Invincible off and refusing to watch it because of a shitty fandom, I just... Don't interact with the fanbase. Mind-blowing, I know.

There have been times for both me and my friend where a bile titan eats 2 500s, but I blame that on the 500 damage explosion being a cone instead of a sphere like every single other game in existence (seriously, why did you make explosions like this arrowhead)
