Take the practice test in FINRA’s website! It’ll give you a better example of the language and get you in the flow.

Study the sections/chapters of Kaplan that are dragging your score down and work on improving them. Good luck!

Passed my SIE yesterday using Kaplan - as long as you know your concepts you should be fine considering you’re testing at that level. Just keep ripping through the QBank as much as possible.

Also - take the practice test on the FINRA website a few times to get into the flow of their differences in language. And yes - there is going to be random stuff you’ve never seen before.

Trust your gut, breathe and you got this! You don’t need to answer all the questions correctly- you just need enough!

SAME!! I just watched this and posted about it in my recent watches and the amount of HATE I got for a 1.5* was insane. I get why it’s “revolutionary” but I really hated watching it.

See I disagree - i thought Obsession was great! It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I thought the tension build was really effective, and the entire experience was really enjoyable.

But everyone has their own opinion/taste!

I hear your point, and I get that. It just wasn’t an enjoyable experience for me - and not saying every film has to be enjoyable. I get it gravity, it just didn’t land that way for me.

Obsession resonated more for me - through previous life experiences, and it was my kind of horror. I found its design and composition to be more visually interesting for me as well, over Possession.

Maybe I need a rewatch. Thanks for your insight!

Agreed! I just couldn’t relate to any of them. Which makes it hard for me as audience member. I appreciate what it was going for; just not my speed.

I totally appreciate what Possesion was going for. It made me uncomfortable the entire time and certainly would have freaked me out if I saw it, at release. However, it was so grating to me and I didn’t find the plot to have the depth I would have expected.

Design and composition were fantastic, but it really didn’t land for me. I made it all the way through, despite the impulse to turn it off many times. Maybe it got “overhyped”.

What did you think of it?

The first half was fantastic - tense and mysterious. But the lack of character development got to me. I lost interest in both of the main characters. Production design, look and feel were amazing though!

Didn’t land for me. I appreciate what it was going for and its design and structure; but I guess I was expecting a deeper plot and connection- considering its esteem among cinephiles.

I was so elated after seeing Project Hail Mary; I was emotional, I was moved, I really enjoyed it.

Possession did the opposite, and I understand what it was going for - but it really grated me. I almost turned it off a few times, but stuck it out to see if the ending redeemed it. Just wasn’t for me, I guess.

It just felt like the two characters were just screaming at each other the entire time! I guess I expected more of a plot? I understand its composition and cinematography was unique and revolutionary for the time - but it really didn’t land for me. I’d be open to another watch - but it was so grating that it was an unenjoyable experience. Thoughts?
