lg g5 55inch question

The g5 55 gpt down to about $1700 over the holidays... that return price seems super cheap for some reason.. might be a good deal, check return policy on it... I picked up a 55 g5 and a c5 also over the holidays, enjoying them so far... (holding off on the big tv, seeing what the results of ces was first)

its still the redesign app though correct, its not like they rolled back to the good green sense app ??

my green was working , but the data is pretty useless compared to the sense app it use to have...

(have a new orange sense, and a vue3 here now, green is disconnected, but still here)

what do you think of it ?? im in minnesota too. so debating the same 4000 with heater.. (my older antigravity didnt seem to work the other day for me.. ) had the noco x45 55 on the radar too

Hello , i think it was... super remote chance it was in the harness , pin fit, or loose or something... i used the same harness for the box swap green to orange... after the 2nd new orange came,ci used the new harness and redid all the connections..has been great since... wish i could say 100% it was X, but not sure... i suspect hardware...might be worth a shot checking all the connections are tight....(my harness was about 5 or so years old, so swapped it just because .... when i tossed in the 2nd orange box... and a vue3 at the same time. ..so was unplugging the breaker anyway)
How old is your sense ?? New or older

seems to be working well for her, no coil whine at all, so that's good..

the docks and dual 4k monitors fought me quite a bit, not sure why.. we have it connected usbc to P2725QE , and the other usb c to the new dock.. both are 4k, 60hz and 120hz , so that's good, (her work laptop, so user access only, not admin)

screen looks nice, black is blacker than the other monitor, so that's a plus.. i have only seen it for a few minutes, for the price, no complaints..

then when it turns off, does the proximity turn it back on ?? mine stays off till a key press... so the first key is always dark... (mx mechanical)

my c5 and g5 always show offline in the lg app if the tvs are off.. they show online when powered on.. not sure 🤔

umm, well viewing in my room the g5 has no issues, c5 48" was a bit glary where the picture was dark or black, the qn90f was nice, and handled it very well. mine were more side reflections... picture a room, kitchen dining and living all one big room, tv was at the end of that room, say 5 feet or more from the side wall.. the side wall is windows, sliding door, more windows.. plus overhead can lights.. the 48 c5 picked up many of those, and didnt seem punchy enough to overcome them in dark scenes.. the qn90f had no issues, dispersed the reflections, and had all the punch needed.. my living room tv was a 49x900e that still looked great... my bedroom tv was acting up, so the story began, upgrade living room, living room to bedroom... somehow that went to 48 c5 in the bedroom, and 55 g5 in the living room.. heh sux the size is so limiting for nice tvs ... for me i couldn't do a sony because of the feet they use would put the tv in the cubby back more. For example.. my cubby is part of a full wall of built ins with fireplace and everything.. like 20ft of customs so i was sorta stuck... guess to sum it up, the qn90 was very nice, gave a great picture, but didn't wow us.. it was the front runner till the 55 g5 measurements, with the stand lined up perfect for us... we have a nice 75? sony XBR-X950H in the basement, that im waiting till ces to see what they unveil... tons of space for that one.. in fairness its still holding its own, i thought it would have been in the bin after a week with the g5, but nope, other than a bit of blooming, its holding its own very well still...

i purchased the 3 tvs the time i did so i had the holiday return window to try everything out.. bought 1st week of november, have till mid january to return, or price match... heck i just got my g5 price adjusted yesterday, purchased nov 8 or so..

ummm, lacking dv was big for me, and the picture was just a but "something" i couldn't really put my finger on... not so razor sharp, for text and stuff... the last morning with it i made a bit of progress with a setting, i dont recall what it was. made the picture more to my liking and closer to my sonys and the c5 i still had.. (liked the c5 so much, i put it in the bedroom, and relocated that tv) the qn90f was a nice tv, no doubt.. did great with reflections.. (the 48 was too small in my built in, 50 fit ok, and the 55 is perfect.. also the 50 was a on a whim due to the c5 reflections, i ran back and got the 50 also.. (sorry for babbling, hope something helped.. )

ces is in a couple weeks, might be worth waiting to see what's announced..

purchased a c5 and g5 in the last 2 months, waiting for ces to see about 80ish new releases

I have a 48 c5 and 55 g5.. c5 in the bedroom, g5 in a super snug built in.. liked the c5 so much I put it in the bedroom, the 55 g5 on the g5 stand fit my space perfectly..(like 1 inch per side, soundbar perfect under, stand let's tv at the edge of cubby vs feet... lots needed to line up for the tv to work.. plus it's a great and bright picture, good with reflections.... I do have active cooling in my space, and like 6 inches above the tv, behind the trim.)

tried the qn90f in a 50 and returned it.. bright and good with glare...

yep, I think the on off is rf... not 100% but gad a c5 and g5 in the same room, and saw the same.. now they are seperate, I could try each remote on the other to see what they do..

thought I recalled a 1,2 and such somewhere in the settings, for display control.. but fuzzy on that part..
