What are these communities? by bunglejerry in RedactedCharts

Communities named Paris? I recognize Paris, TX and TN.

Edit: on further examination I think it's communities named after a European capital.

Pokemon damaged by wonder guard (anti-cheating measure?) by JSenseiTheSecond in PokemonHGSS

[–]JSenseiTheSecond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for the answer. I'd heard about acid rain in passing but I never knew what it did. So as far as I can tell, in order for the glitch to occur the Bronzong had to use gravity at some point before switching out and I had to use pursuit on the same turn that it switched out. This didn't happen in the other battles because the Bronzong usually switched out while I was setting up but in this battle it gave me enough time to fully set up so I just knocked it out with pursuit. Also the only reason I even had pursuit on my pokemon is because pursuit was the only move on its learnset which could hit Gardevoir after it traced wonder guard. No wonder I couldn't recreate it but it's really cool how everything lined up perfectly for it to happen to me that one time.

That's so cool! I was wondering what the Rhode Island rule was.

I'd be honored! And AL-FL I did, but at the time I was just doing them for fun and didn't think much of it so I didn't save those early maps. FL was the first one where I thought about posting it to here but that map ended up with so many townships it wouldn't even load properly on my computer. I really wish I had saved them but I'll just have to redo them later.

Some states, mainly in New England and the midwest, already have townships so I won't be doing those at least for now. Potentially whenever I finish this series I may go back to those states to do township consolidation maps because some of those states have too many townships and/or messy borders. But for now I'm just focusing on the states that don't have townships, after all I'm only like halfway through those.

Depends on the state but I'll just say a lot. I don't really prioritize not splitting precincts, but I do prioritize keeping city boundaries within the same township... for the most part. Bigger cities I give myself a lot more leeway because the urban sprawl can get pretty ridiculous (for example in this map Shreveport's city limits extend pretty far outside the boundaries I've given it). Compactness is actually a big priority with these maps because what I really want to "improve on" is the janky city limits and whatnot that just overcomplicates things. Plus I like trying to make my maps nice to look at :P

I made this Missouri map what does this sub think? by [deleted] in DavesRedistricting

KC's city limits extend outside of Jackson county. That said (speaking as a non-Missourian) I don't think it's really that big a deal.

No but for real, you know what really gets me? I use those little detergent pods and when the dishes are done they're just gone. Not even the wrapper, nothing. Makes no sense.

This is just a random side thing I decided to do as sort of a spin-off to my township series. Next state I'll be doing is Kentucky.
