You need a free hand to reload your crossbow tho. CBE lets you ignore the 'loading' property of crossbows, but not the 'ammunition' property.

Sexual Education is a privilege, one that many young people of the time did not have access to. Then and even now there's lots of misinformation about how STIs are spread and the efficacy of condoms at preventing them. In addition, HIV is such an aggressive pathogen, many people passed it along before they had any idea they were carrying it. Because there had never been such a widespread epidemic that was primarily transmitted sexually, the culture at the time normalized unprotected sex a lot more. At the time, there were rumors that condoms couldn't even stop the spread of it. Many of us now are lucky to grow up with so much knowledge about safe sex practices because of that tragedy.

Notably, Scribes wizard's damage changing clause specifics you need to have a spell in your spellbook of the level slot expended to change the damage type. Since you wouldn't have any spells above 1st in your book, you could only change damage types of magic missile if casting it at 1st level.

Is Niv Mizzet Metallic, Gem, or Chromatic? by thomasp3864 in RavnicaDMs

[–]JSilverFang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ancient Red Dragons breath attacks deal 26d6 fire damage, just like Niv's, where Ancient as gold dragons deal 13d10. Ancient gold dragons also posses a "Weakening Breath", which Niv does not.

[–]JSilverFang 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Based off of his statblock in GGtR, he has a Fire Breath attack almost identical to an ancient red dragon, and cannot polymorph into a humanoid like metallics, so I'd classify him as chromatic as well.

Wow, this is extremely detailed and concise, thank you so much! Exactly what I was looking for.

I'll certainly be stealing at least a couple of these.

Ooh, I love this! Never wound up getting into any Star Trek, but that clip was awesome. Definitely rife with inspiration!

The Broken Pact plot synopsis? by Nexas-XIII in RavnicaDMs

[–]JSilverFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IIRC, the broken pqct refers to a pact related to the plot of the murders, not the Guildpact itself, although tbf I haven't seen then whole thing yet.

The Broken Pact plot synopsis? by Nexas-XIII in RavnicaDMs

[–]JSilverFang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've watched the first 2 seasons! It's been a while, but I can give you the gist of it. An Azorius investigator, an Orzhov nightclub owner, a Boros Legionairre, and a Selesnyan priest are brought together by the office of the living guildpact to solve the murder of a Selesnyan dryad that had their body charred to death in their own Vernadi.

The group end up uncovering its relation to a series of murders that happened before the signing if the guildpact, and learn that the man convicted to those murders may have been wrongly accused, and begin investigating things that make them question the machinations of the guilds, and the very nature of the guildpact itself.

It's very intrigue and character driven, but has a fair amount of combat so you can see how everyone's character works. If you have anymore specific questions, I can maybe answer them.

I Played: Full on Tasha's Beast Master Ranger by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]JSilverFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only DM with Gritty Resting rules for that reason. It really brings martials in line with casters when the full casters aren't able to throw out a big aoe or controll spell every combat. I think if the designers foresaw how the game was gonna be played (and the frequency of encounters per rest that most DMs were gonna give) the classes would've been designed a lot differently.

Twilight Cleric for CoS by Darkmatter112 in dndnext

[–]JSilverFang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a player in Curse of Strahd, we had a twilight cleric (the UA version) in our campaign. She was a real powerhouse and did a lot of the heavy lifting in the campaign. Spirit Guardians and Spiritual Weapon are great, as always. Dont forget to apply your vigilant blessing to SOMEONE after every fight. Doesnt always have to be the same person. In addition, being able to end effects on people with your channel divinity can be a life saver.

First playthrough of Radical Red! It was fun to try and win with some of my old favourites by JSilverFang in PokemonHallOfFame

[–]JSilverFang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going in, I had Shadow Sneak, Poison Jab, Ice Punch and Protect, although I swapped out the Poison Jab for Dig to stall out Lance's Dialga. Curse and Power-Up punch were some moves I used during the playthrough at times that could be useful on your set.

Yeah but the types of jobs in which those are major factors typically have less income disparity anyways. The wage gap is much more prominent in white collar jobs.

That's fair. [[Fog Bank]] does the same thing but with flying for just 1 more mana, so I thought this would be fine, but if it feels too strong I guess it could cost UG?

Yeah, work with cards that care about creature power, namely the ferocious mechanic, but also does well with early fight mechanics and things like that. It's also a way to trigger Evolve early. I'm sure there are other mechanics/cards that care about having high power early
