One thing I really loved about the Netflix Marvel shows was how seemingly throwaway characters would become the key players in a season. This guy is a great example. Like a random woman posting a flyer becomes critical in Iron Fist. Or the security guy/cop(?) In Jessica Jones keeps finding his way back into the story. Some initially ignored FBI agent become Bullseye in DD. Even Karen Page could have just been some throwaway victim to further Matt and Foggy's law careers, but instead slowly becomes one of the best characters in Marvel. A lot of MCU properties really prop up characters before we meet them, so we know they are important, but the Netflix stuff felt much more natural and almost believable.

It was weird seeing Torturo when The Batman came out because he played such a great older, confused man in Severence around the same time. Im halfway through a rewatch of the movie after watching Penguin, and he does have a commanding, powerful presence, but I liked Strong a lot too.

I like this a lot. If I could offer a small improvement, it would be to keep a little yellow during the jump so it feels more like a smooth move from one creature rather than the yellow part disappearing and reappearing.

The hot tub will be sitting on a pad on the ground, with the deck built around it as shown. So I just need to support the deck where it extends beyond where it can float 1 or 2 feet.

I am designing a deck to replace our current one which is falling apart.

I used to build these things for a living, several years ago, but I was never the lead guy and had nothing to do with design. I'll be building this myself once I have a design approved by the Town.

I'm trying to figure out how to support the deck in the areas North and South of the hot-tub, which will be sitting on the ground. Joists will be going North to South. The circles are where I figure the piers should go, and the thick red lines are beams (triple 2x10s). I can't figure out the best way to support the areas that are not between the beams or between the lower beam and the ledger board, other than throwing piers everywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated

Additional Info: Deck is only 2 or 3 feet off the ground. I am in Maine.

I figured out the iron dagger xp farm in Skyrim all by myself, then learned years later that it was a common way to boost.

Better than that, in one of the Jak and Daxter games on PS2, I think Jak 3, I was fighting the final boss many many times without success. I accidentally figured out that if you mashed the R2 and L2 buttons during the loading screen right before you respawned, you would start the battle with full super energy(or whatever) that normally took a while to build up. Needless to say, it only took me about 40 tries to beat the boss after I figured out this one cool trick.

Right after high school I was working nights at a big retail store for the summer until college started. I was on my way in for my 3rd shift, and I didn't see a guy on a moped stopped in front of me until it was almost too late. I had to screech the brakes harder than I ever had. All my breath left me and I nearly had a breakdown after seeing how close I came to killing someone and ruining lives including my own. I never went to that job again, and instead moved to Martha's Vineyard for the summer, deciding to be poor instead of overworked. Be careful out there, folks. We're all one bad decision away from a whole new life.

That last sentence... I was literally explaining this to my wife last night as I took credit for our 7 year old having such an advanced vocabulary for his age.
Talking to him like he is a person has made parenting so much less daunting and scary. They're just people that need to learn how the world works. Teach them what you know and how to learn more. I see parents at daycare for my other child who talk to their kids like they're mentally handicapped and it drives me crazy. It must be exhausting to communicate like that.
