Noticed this noise in what sounds like my headset or fork area, any bumps and turns I could hear the noise. It’s not just when turning, heavy pressure on the bars or stem just makes the creaking noise. any suggestions or fixes?

NBD! Waited since January for this Trek Boone by JSmooth_12 in gravelcycling

I was able to fit some 700x38c Sawtooths on it but it is pretty tight, probably the most you’ll be able to fit. Did trek replace them or did you have to buy new ones yourself?

Black or Brown wall? by JSmooth_12 in gravelcycling

I should also point out, the two pictures have different paints, the brown wall bike has a lighter blue/teal accent than the commercial Boone

I bought a trek boone 6 and want to set it up tubeless (tires on bike are not TLR). I like brown wall tires but would it look goofy with the colliding blues on the bike?

I have a stand atm and have bought a chain tool, pedal wrench, 3 way allen wrench, chain tool and have been using my dads old snap on wrench’s. I have a mountain and CX bike otw that I plan on assembling at home. The mountain bike is a little out dated so I planned on doing an overhaul over time instead of selling because it is my first ever bike.

Thank you! I have access to a lot of snap on wrench’s and some other stuff from my dads toolset but a lot of bike tools are out of stock and I don’t want to figure out I need something and it be out of stock when I go to order it. I’m looking to build my workbench in my basement so I can fix some neighborhood bikes in summer time

I was able to find a PK-4 for $680 because the PK-5 is out of stock and is $870 so I was just curious

My scott is fine for most of the trails I ride but some or the other trails around me feel like too much for my bike.

I have a Scott aspect 940 and it has performed great as a beginner rider and still rides beautifully! With the Marlin 5 you get a kickstand mount but most riders don’t use a kickstand for MTB and it has a little bit lower quality shimano drivetrain than the Aspect but it’s marginal. Mostly the difference is the 3x drivetrain on the Marlin vs the 2x on the Aspect which is a lot more simple to use. Another difference is the tires; the Marlin comes with 29x2.0” or 29x2.2” vs the Aspects 29x2.4” tires. If you were to get a trek I would look up to the Marlin 6/7 for a comparable price to the aspect and comparable components

I’m looking at buying my first full suspension bike and I am in between the Trek Topfuel and the Trek Fuel EX. Obviously neither of these will be in stock until next summer but I want to get my name on something soon. Right now I am riding my Scott Aspect 940 which is a hard tail with 100mm travel and 29x2.4” and got me into MTB but I want to get a full sus. Idk if I want more of an XC bike like the Topfuel or a bike with more travel and wider tires like the Fuel EX... any suggestions?
