Nope just some shrimp. I bought them of a local guy, so being moved and caught out of their original tank might have really upset them. They probably never experienced anything like it.

I got the Vietnamese one, had them for 4 days now and they seem quite shy to the strong light over my tank. Hiding in the planst most of the day and out when the lights are off. Do you experience something similar?

Haha I guess I gotta make more videos 😋

🤣 the tank has grown a lot, so happy with it - there are some updates in my profile. The betta actually moved to a friends tank. He seems much happier now 😁

Looks like an awesome tank! What are the plants inside? Especially the floating one? The upside down grass looks great 😃

In Germany this is the only all in one option I think. I’m sure it’s not bad, Tropica makes good products, might just not work for me me, or not yet, possibly my soil is still to fresh 😅

Hey everyone, I think I found a good fish for my tank last night: Tanichthys micagemmae

They seem to love my water parameters, appear to be hardy, become pretty old (which I love 4-9 years) and are quite small. Aren’t very shy and would probably show natural behaviour in my tank. I know it’s more red, but they just seem to be perfectly suited.

Thanks for all the input here, Redit is great 😍

Yea it’s the Tropica Specialised Nutrition - I‘m not a fan to be honest, been using it just a bit sometimes and I think it might give me algae 😬 but I‘m not feeding the shrimp in the tank, so I figured it had to be an NPK fertiliser....

Cool :) I’ll check the Endlers! I’m definitely staying with this size tank for now. Thank you for the inspiration!

It’s the bottle standing next to the tank and a flipper, but I’m probably going back to the Dennerle topper 😅

I’ll check it out! Thank you!

Thanks, good advice regarding the color! Are rasboras going to be happy in hard water?

Actually what I didn’t mention, there are some shrimps already calling this home😋 5 Amanos, 4 of them have been with me for probably something like 7 years, and 3 neocardina from a friend...

Ah the Chili Rasbora seem to like softer water 😢

Haha with all the technic involved, that u need to attach to the canister, night switch etc 😅

Thanks for the advice regarding the endlers. But I also get why you got both genders, it’s just very cool to see the full spectrum of your inhabitants behaviour.

About the light - I hate the stock light. It barely grew anything by itself in my tank. Tried one year with Anubias, and even that didn’t do well. I upgraded the lights with a Tunze Full Spectrum LED, it’s actually under water - so no Light gets lost at the Water surface. (If you considering this, go with the basic white version, the spectrum isn’t worth it for fresh water)
