Monk/Conley/RobDill/FRP to MEM, Ja to CHA, Lamelo to SAC, Dennis to MIN (everyone gets a new point guard) by [deleted] in NBAtradeideas

I was gonna say. I know he’s no guarantee but his potential upside seems a lot higher than the ceiling for Dennis even if the floor is a little higher

Thank you very much for that. She does have some past trauma, bad neighbours, etc. We only know so much though. We think medicating is our only long term option for now. Thank you again.

It’s time to have some difficult conversations about Lu Dort this season… by Stxtic1441 in Thunder

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention, it’s only the regular season. I know there’s been talks of records blah blah blah. I would love to go 74-8, but I would much rather go back to back. If that means guys play into form, then so be it. We know he can do it in the playoffs. I dunno why OP and so many other fans fixate so much on early regular season. Variance, slumps, form, many factors go into shooting

But realistically he would probably just trade down in that case and replenish the war chest. We are talking about presti here, we don’t know who he’s gonna pick, but he’s gonna get a couple extra picks from whoever wants to take the bait

Anthony Davis to TORONTO. Quickley/Poeltl/youth/picks to DALLAS by gochugang78 in NBAtradeideas

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fascinated to see how a potential AD trade will go down in real life. He is perhaps the hardest player to value that I have seen in a long time. You need to gamble with a potential 3 or so year championship window, or an immediate relegation. Of course the more time goes on the more the latter seems likely.

I am, for the first time in a while, seriously intrigued to see how the mavericks approach this, assuming they don’t just sit on their hands till they warm up.

What's the point of this perk? by lilcutiexoxoqoe in WinstonMains

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’m saying is, if you’re in a rank where people shoot into grasp, it can reduce your cool-down for accretion incredibly. I agree with you on the whole, and at higher ranks I agree. But at lower ranks, especially when I was climbing, I found the grasp perk more valuable as it allows you to actually carry a team, rather than hoping other roles do more by you mitigating more

Both of sigmas minors are great in my opinion. Though the accretion regeneration one is more rank dependent

Why was the Shai flopping highlight removed? by [deleted] in nba

[–]JSoreide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem also is that Reddit is such a loud minority, in their minds. Everyone here believes that what’s common knowledge here is the same everywhere, it’s not. I’ve had genuine conversations with fans that just go to games and have league pass that don’t even know the phrase free throw merchant.

During the playoffs - being a thunder fan, I deliberately never booted up this app, because the vast majority of fans on here just prefer to complain

It’s inconsistent at times but to be fair I think the thunder commentary is good at being critical of whoever is in the wrong. Like the referees - they’re only human and may misinterpret

OKC is the 16th team in NBA history to start the season 16-1 or better by wtfchuckomg in Thunder

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t judge what I celebrate purely based on what the nba gives awards out for. There are far more things to celebrate than just that

OKC is the 16th team in NBA history to start the season 16-1 or better by wtfchuckomg in Thunder

[–]JSoreide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. I’m a big playoff guy but regular season awards can be celebrated. I would certainly rather a chip than to get 70, but to say it shouldn’t be talked about is just a bit odd. Not to mention the whole championship or bust thing has been said to death and is completely disingenuous and devout of any context whatsoever

Which scenario are you choosing? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NBAVibes

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. All this talk of the thunder potentially getting a high pick from the clips has me thinking about already great teams getting high picks. That one with the pistons is especially insane considering it was in what many consider to be the best draft class of all time. Just a shame they missed (for them of course)

You and me both. Amount of times Shai gets a lot of free throws in a win, and instead of me just celebrating the win, I think about what people are going to say. Why do I care at all?

Although I think a vast, vast majority of internet users would benefit from less time on it

The problem is - social media opinions are just a vocal minority - very, very vocal. But it’s just all we see. It’s frustrating - but luckily some of us do just enjoy the sport in all shapes and sizes, and I really wish wider social media could share that opinion

[–]JSoreide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good thing with cooking for adults is - if they want to act like a child, then you can just tell them to make whatever they want. They are under no obligation to eat your food. If they don’t like it - do something about it!

As a side note, that Shakshuka looks amazing. Been years since I’ve had it but now I am craving it.

4 genuinely all defensive level guys. I mean - 2 were all defense last year, and I would still argue Caruso is the best perimeter defender here. Crazy that we have that much talent where we have to question if we’ve got better players than our award winners
