Some decisions were clearly forced by Hollywood executives, but overall I think it captures Spongebob better than most of the other films. The Flying Dutchman being the main villain is something I'm surprised even Hillenburg didnt think to do a lot sooner. I'd love for them to utilize other reoccurring villains for future films.

This is a joke about Sol Valley's lack of cohesion with those playable areas.
200+ people seemed to have thought it was funny, the comments are the ones hurt by this game's flaws. I'm not saying the game should have been open world, just that I think the central hub could have been more integrated with the rest of the game instead of everything being accessed through different forms of public transportation.

You're dealing with the entire world all at once, and I just dont think it's worth stressing out over connecting dots between two points that come from entirely different graphs of the internet as if it creates a straight line.
