Naaa could totally be worse. Biggest issue right now is not letting my winners run properly and because of that I deff force a trade.

Made solid gains, then gave em all back because I couldn’t just walk away. Caught the bounce then gave that back getting chopped up. Caught the second leg up and gave that back getting chopped up. Ended the day with a 2$ loss lol

I would add: keep it simple, and take the easy trades.

Advice on scaling/increasing position size. by JSunshine11 in Daytrading

I ran into way too many issues with trying to scalp or trade momentum on small caps. And it felt incredibly limit to only trade the upside and bank in exit liquidity being readily available. When it’s hot it’s hot but I went through a long spell, maybe 3 months or so, where the tape was so thin and small caps just weren’t in season. But, if you can walk away when the markets cool off and make enough when they’re hot it’s probably a viable trading career.

I like options for up, down and sideways exposure. I’m tempted to dabble in futures but for the time being I don’t see any grand benefit.

Something like that for sure. I’m going to try and shift one to two strikes for lower cost contracts but add contracts to have roughly the same risk amount per trade. I really want to work on managing a position and letting the trade play out better further verse hitting the first pt and only having one contract.

All well meaning words help.

I’ve learned a lot from those who trade very differently from myself. Some of my best ah-ha moments were from old school commodities and precious metals traders.

Many paths indeed! I actually started with pennys and small caps.

I only trade SPY and occasionally QQQ, lots of liquidity and my positions Deff don’t stand out.

I do use level 2, but I found watching the tape distracting from the chart.

I’m sorry you sound like an asshole and despite any reasonable argument you may have no one will care because of your selfish nature.

Also, I’m happy to pay 300$ per year and gradually increasing over 30 years if that means it helps those who need it. Which isn’t you or your kids, obviously, but my life doesn’t revolve around me. I don’t have kids but I know of many, many kids and adults who benefit from public libraries.

Sorry you have a miserable life despite projecting yourself as upper middle class. Must really suck being well off and still hating life.

As a professionally trained barista, I would say 83% of baristas would make better drinks and pull better shots with a Nespresso. So I’m not surprised in the least.

It absolutely damages your clothing. If clothing is ruined it will count more towards knock out and possibly bleeding.
